1And 1GodH430 saidH559 to JacobH3290, AriseH6965, goH5927 up to Bethel, and dwellH3427 there, and makeH6213 there an altarH4196 unto the 2GodH430 that appearedH7200 unto thee when thou fleddest from the faceH6440 of EsauH6215 thy brotherH251. 2And JacobH3290 saidH559 to his householdH1004, and to all that were with him, Put awayH5493 the strange 3godsH430 that are among you, and cleanseH2891 yourselves, and changeH2498 your garmentsH8071; 3and we will ariseH6965, and goH1980 up to Bethel; and I will makeH6213 there an altarH4196 to the 4GodH410 that answeredH6030 me in the dayH3117 of my distressH6869, and wasH1961 with me in the wayH1870 that I wentH1980. 4And they gaveH5414 to JacobH3290 all the strange 5godsH430 that were in their handH3027, and the ringsH5141 that were in their earsH241, and JacobH3290 hidH2934 them under the terebinthH424 that [is] by ShechemH7927. 5And they journeyed; and the terror of 6GodH430 wasH1961 upon the citiesH5892 that were roundH5439 about them, and they did not pursueH7291 after the sonsH1121 of JacobH3290. 6And JacobH3290 cameH935 to LuzH3870, which is in the landH776 of CanaanH3667, that is, Bethel, he and all the peopleH5971 that were with him. 7And he builtH1129 there an altarH4196, and calledH7121 the placeH4725 El-beth-el; because there 7GodH430 had appeared to him when he fledH1272 from the faceH6440 of his brotherH251. 8And DeborahH1683, Rebecca's nurse, diedH4191; and she was buriedH6912 beneath Bethel, under the oakH437; and the nameH8034 of it was calledH7121 Allon-bachuth. 9And 8GodH430 appearedH7200 to JacobH3290 againH5750 after he had comeH935 from Padan-Aram, and blessedH1288 him. 10And 9GodH430 saidH559 to him, Thy nameH8034 is JacobH3290: thy nameH8034 shall not henceforth beH1961 calledH7121 JacobH3290, but IsraelH3478 shall beH1961 thy nameH8034. And he calledH7121 his nameH8034 IsraelH3478. 11And 10GodH430 saidH559 to him, I am the AlmightyH7706 11GodH430: beH1961 fruitfulH6509 and multiplyH7235; a nationH1471 and a companyH6951 of nationsH1471 shall beH1961 of thee; and kingsH4428 shall come out of thy loinsH2504. 12And the landH776 that I gaveH5414 AbrahamH85 and IsaacH3327, to thee will I giveH5414 it, and to thy seedH2233 after thee will I giveH5414 the landH776. 13And 12GodH430 wentH5927 up from him in the placeH4725 whereH834 he had talked with him. 14And JacobH3290 setH5324 up a pillarH4676 in the placeH4725 whereH834 he had talked with him, a pillarH4676 of stoneH68, and pouredH3332 on it a drink-offering, and pouredH3332 oilH8081 on it. 15And JacobH3290 calledH7121 the nameH8034 of the placeH4725 whereH834 13GodH430 had talked with him, Beth-el. 16And they journeyed from Bethel. And there wasH1961 yetH5750 a certain distance to comeH935 to EphrathH672, when RachelH7354 travailed in childbirth; and it wentH935 hardH7185 with her in her childbearing. 17And it came to pass when it went hardH7185 with her in her childbearing, that the midwife saidH559 to her, FearH3372 not; for this alsoH1571 is a sonH1121 for thee. 18And it came to pass as her soulH5315 was departing — for she diedH4191 — that she calledH7121 his nameH8034 Benoni; but his fatherH1 calledH7121 him BenjaminH1144. 19And RachelH7354 diedH4191, and was buriedH6912 on the wayH1870 to EphrathH672, which [is] Bethlehem. 20And JacobH3290 erected a pillarH4676 upon her graveH6900: that is the pillarH4676 of Rachel's graveH6900 to [this] dayH3117. 21And IsraelH3478 journeyed, and spreadH5186 his tentH168 on the other side of Migdal-Eder. 22And it came to pass when IsraelH3478 dweltH7931 in that landH776, that ReubenH7205 went and layH7901 with BilhahH1090, his father's concubineH6370; and IsraelH3478 heardH8085 of it. And the sonsH1121 of JacobH3290 wereH1961 twelve. 23The sonsH1121 of LeahH3812: ReubenH7205 — Jacob's firstbornH1060 — and SimeonH8095, and LeviH3878, and JudahH3063, and IssacharH3485, and ZebulunH2074. 24The sonsH1121 of RachelH7354: JosephH3130 and BenjaminH1144. 25And the sonsH1121 of BilhahH1090, Rachel's maidservantH8198: DanH1835 and NaphtaliH5321. 26And the sonsH1121 of ZilpahH2153, Leah's maidservantH8198: GadH1410 and AsherH836. These are the sonsH1121 of JacobH3290 that were bornH3205 to him in Padan-Aram. 27And JacobH3290 cameH935 to IsaacH3327 his fatherH1 to MamreH4471 — to Kirjath-Arba, which is HebronH2275; whereH834 AbrahamH85 had sojourned, and IsaacH3327. 28And the daysH3117 of IsaacH3327 wereH1961 a hundredH3967 and eightyH8084 yearsH8141. 29And IsaacH3327 expired and diedH4191, and was gatheredH622 to his peoplesH5971, old and full of daysH3117. And his sonsH1121 EsauH6215 and JacobH3290 buriedH6912 him.
