Genesis 24:2-28
And AbrahamH85 saidH559 to his servantH5650, the eldest of his houseH1004, who ruledH4910 over all that he had, PutH7760 thy handH3027, I pray thee, under my thighH3409,
and I will make thee swearH7650 by Jehovah, the 1GodH430 of the heavensH8064 and the 2GodH430 of the earthH776, that thou takeH3947 not a wifeH802 for my sonH1121 of the daughtersH1323 of the CanaanitesH3669, among whom I am dwellingH3427;
but thou shalt go to my landH776 and to my kindredH4138, and takeH3947 a wifeH802 for my sonH1121 IsaacH3327.
And the servantH5650 saidH559 to him, PerhapsH194 the womanH802 will not be willingH14 to follow me to this landH776: must I, then, bringH3318 thy sonH1121 again in any case to the landH776 from which thou hast removed?
And AbrahamH85 saidH559 to him, Beware that thou bringH7725 not my sonH1121 thither again.
Jehovah the 3GodH430 of the heavensH8064, who tookH3947 me out of my father's houseH1004, and out of the landH776 of my nativity, and who has spokenH1696 to me, and who has swornH7650 to me, sayingH559, Unto thy seedH2233 will I giveH5414 this landH776 — he will sendH7971 his angelH4397 before thee, that thou mayest takeH3947 a wifeH802 for my sonH1121 thence.
And if the womanH802 be not willingH14 to follow thee, then thou shalt be quit of this my oathH7621: onlyH7535, bringH7725 not my sonH1121 thither again.
And the servantH5650 putH7760 his handH3027 under the thighH3409 of AbrahamH85 his masterH113, and sworeH7650 unto him concerning that matterH1697.
And the servantH5650 tookH3947 tenH6235 camelsH1581 of the camelsH1581 of his masterH113, and departed; now all the treasure of his masterH113 was under his handH3027; and he aroseH6965 and went to Aram-naharaim, to the cityH5892 of NahorH5152.
And he made the camelsH1581 kneel down outside the cityH5892 by a wellH875 of waterH4325, at the timeH6256 of the eveningH6153, when the women cameH3318 out to drawH7579 [waterH4325].
And he saidH559, Jehovah, 4GodH430 of my masterH113 AbrahamH85, meet me, I pray thee, [with thy blessing] this dayH3117, and deal kindly with my masterH113 AbrahamH85.
Behold, I standH5324 [hereH2009] by the well of waterH4325, and the daughtersH1323 of the menH376 of the cityH5892 comeH3318 out to drawH7579 waterH4325.
And let it come to pass, [that] the maiden to whom I shall sayH559, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drinkH8354, and who will sayH559, DrinkH8354, and I will giveH8248 thy camelsH1581 drinkH8354 alsoH1571, beH1961 she whom thou hast appointedH3198 for thy servantH5650 IsaacH3327; and hereby I shall knowH3045 that thou hast dealt kindly with my masterH113.
And it came to pass before he had endedH3615 speakingH1696, that behold, Rebecca came out, who wasH1961 bornH3205 to BethuelH1328, sonH1121 of MilcahH4435 the wifeH802 of NahorH5152, Abraham's brotherH251; and [she had] her pitcher upon her shoulderH7926.
And the maiden was veryH3966 fair in countenance; a virginH1330, and no manH376 had knownH3045 her. And she wentH5927 downH3381 to the well, and filledH4390 her pitcher, and cameH5927 up.
And the servantH5650 ranH7323 to meet her, and saidH559, Let me, I pray thee, sip a littleH4592 waterH4325 out of thy pitcher.
And she saidH559, DrinkH8354, my lordH113! And she hasted and let down her pitcher on her handH3027, and gave him to drinkH8354.
And when she had givenH8248 him enough to drinkH8354, she saidH559, I will drawH7579 [waterH8248] for thy camelsH1581 alsoH1571, until they have drunkH8354 enough.
And she hasted and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ranH7323 againH5750 to the wellH875 to drawH7579 [waterH7579]; and she drewH7579 for all his camelsH1581.
And the manH376 was astonished at her, remaining silentH2790, to knowH3045 whether Jehovah had madeH3045 his journeyH1870 prosperous or not.
And it came to pass when the camelsH1581 had drunkH8354 enough, that the manH376 tookH3947 a goldH2091 ringH5141, of half a shekel weightH4948, and twoH8147 braceletsH6781 for her handsH3027, tenH6235 [shekels] weightH4948 of goldH2091,
and saidH559, Whose daughterH1323 art thou? tellH5046 me, I pray thee. Is there room [in] thy father's houseH1004 for us to lodge?
And she saidH559 to him, I am the daughterH1323 of BethuelH1328 the sonH1121 of MilcahH4435, whom she boreH3205 to NahorH5152.
And she saidH559 to him, There is strawH8401, and alsoH1571 muchH7227 provender with us; alsoH1571 roomH4725 to lodge.
And the manH376 stooped, and bowedH7812 downH7812 before Jehovah,
and saidH559, BlessedH1288 be Jehovah, 5GodH430 of my masterH113 AbrahamH85, who has not withdrawn his loving-kindness and his faithfulnessH571 from my masterH113; I being in the wayH1870, Jehovah has ledH5148 me to the houseH1004 of my master's brethren.
And the maiden ranH7323 and toldH5046 these thingsH1697 to her mother's houseH1004.
