Luke 11:1-33

And it cameG1096 to passG1096 as he wasG1510 in a certainG5100 placeG5117 prayingG4336, whenG5613 he ceasedG3973, oneG5100 of his disciplesG3101 saidG3004 to him, LordG2962, teachG1321 us to prayG4336, evenG2532 as JohnG2491 alsoG2532 taughtG1321 his disciplesG3101.

And he saidG3004 to them, WhenG3752 ye prayG4336, sayG3004, FatherG3962, thy nameG3686 be hallowedG37; thy kingdomG932 comeG2064;

giveG1325 us our needed breadG740 for each dayG2250;

and remit us our sinsG266, for we alsoG2532 remit to every oneG3588 indebted to us; and leadG1533 us not into temptationG3986.

And he saidG3004 to them, Who among you shall have a friendG5384, and shall goG4198 to him at midnightG3317 and sayG3004 to him, FriendG5384, let me have threeG5140 loavesG740,

since a friendG5384 of mineG1473 on a journeyG3598 is comeG3854 to me, and I have nothing to setG3908 before him;

and he within answeringG611 should sayG3004, Do not disturb me; the doorG2374 isG1510 alreadyG2235 shutG2808, and my childrenG3813 areG1510 with me in bedG2845; I cannot riseG450 up to giveG1325 [it] thee?

— I sayG3004 to you, Although he will not get up and giveG1325 [them] to him because he isG1510 his friendG5384, because of his shamelessness, at any rate, he will riseG450 and giveG1325 him as manyG3745 as he wants.

And I sayG3004 to you, AskG154, and it shall be givenG1325 to you; seekG2212, and ye shall findG2147; knockG2925, and it shall be openedG455 to you.

For every oneG3588 that asksG154 receivesG2983; and he that seeksG2212 findsG2147; and to him that knocksG2925 it will be openedG455.

But of whom of you that is a fatherG3962 shall a sonG5207 askG154 breadG740, and [the fatherG3962] shall giveG1929 him a stoneG3037? or alsoG2532 a fishG2486, and instead of a fishG2486 shall giveG1929 him a serpentG3789?

or if alsoG2532 he shall askG154 an egg, shall giveG1929 him a scorpionG4651?

If thereforeG3767 ye, being evilG4190, know howG4214 to giveG1325 goodG18 giftsG1390 to your childrenG5043, howG4214 muchG4214 ratherG3123 shall the FatherG3962 who is of heavenG3772 giveG1325 [the] HolyG40 SpiritG4151 to them that askG154 him?

And he wasG1510 casting out a demonG1140, and it wasG1510 dumb; and it cameG1096 to passG1096, the demonG1140 beingG1510 goneG1831 out, the dumb [manG2974] spokeG2980. And the crowdsG3793 wonderedG2296.

But some from among them saidG3004, By Beelzebub the princeG758 of the demonsG1140 casts he out demonsG1140.

And othersG2087 tempting [him] soughtG2212 from him a signG4592 out of heavenG3772.

But he, knowing their thoughts, saidG3004 to them, Every kingdomG932 dividedG1266 against itself is brought to desolation: and a houseG3624 set against a houseG3624 fallsG4098;

and if alsoG2532 SatanG4567 is dividedG1266 against himself, howG4459 shall his kingdomG932 subsist? because ye sayG3004 that I castG1544 out demonsG1140 by Beelzebub.

But if I by Beelzebub castG1544 out demonsG1140, your sonsG5207 — by whom do they castG1544 [them] out? For this reason they shall beG1510 your judgesG2923.

But if by the fingerG1147 of 1GodG2316 I castG1544 out demonsG1140, thenG1161 the kingdomG932 of 2GodG2316 is comeG5348 upon you.

WhenG3752 the strongG2478 [manG2478] armed keepsG5442 his ownG1438 house, his goods areG1510 in peaceG1515;

but when the strongerG2478 than he comingG1904 upon [him] overcomesG3528 him, he takesG142 awayG142 his panoply in which he trustedG3982, and he will divide the spoil [he has takenG142] from him.

He that isG1510 not with me isG1510 against me, and he that gathersG4863 not with me scattersG4650.

WhenG3752 the uncleanG169 spiritG4151 has goneG1831 out of the manG444, he goesG1831 through dry placesG5117 seekingG2212 restG372; and not findingG2147 [any] he saysG3004, I will returnG5290 to my houseG3624 whence I cameG1831 out.

And having comeG2064, he findsG2147 it swept and adornedG2885.

Then he goesG4198 and takesG3880 sevenG2033 otherG2087 spiritsG4151 worse than himself, and enteringG1525 in, they dwellG2730 there; and the lastG2078 condition of that manG444 becomesG1096 worse than the firstG4413.

And it cameG1096 to passG1096 as he spake these thingsG3778, a certainG5100 womanG1135, liftingG1869 up her voiceG5456 out of the crowdG3793, saidG3004 to him, Blessed is the wombG2836 that has borneG941 thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

But he saidG3004, Yea ratherG3304, blessed are they who hearG191 the wordG3056 of 3GodG2316 and keepG5442 [it].

But as the crowdsG3793 thronged together, he beganG757 to sayG3004, This generationG1074 isG1510 a wickedG4190 generationG1074: it seeksG2212 a signG4592, and a signG4592 shall not beG1510 givenG1325 to it but the signG4592 of Jonas.

For as Jonas wasG1510 a signG4592 to the NinevitesG3536, thusG3779 shall alsoG2532 the SonG5207 of manG444 beG1510 to this generationG1074.

A queenG938 of the southG3558 shall riseG1453 up in the judgmentG2920 with the menG435 of this generationG1074, and shall condemnG2632 them: for she cameG2064 from the endsG4009 of the earthG1093 to hearG191 the wisdomG4678 of SolomonG4672; and beholdG2400, moreG4183 than SolomonG4672 is hereG5602.

MenG435 of Nineveh shall standG450 up in the judgmentG2920 with this generationG1074, and shall condemnG2632 it: for they repentedG3340 at the preachingG2782 of Jonas; and beholdG2400, moreG4183 than Jonas is hereG5602.

But no oneG3762 having lit a lampG3088 sets it in secret, nor under the corn-measure, but on the lamp-stand, that they who enterG1531 in may seeG991 the lightG5338.
