Luke 17
Darby Bible
1And he saidG3004 to his disciplesG3101, It cannot beG1510 but that offences comeG2064, but woeG3759 [to him] by whom they comeG2064! 2It would be [more] profitable for him if a millstone were hanged about his neckG5137 and he castG4496 into the seaG2281, than that he should be a snare to oneG1520 of these littleG3398 onesG3398. 3TakeG4337 heed to yourselves: if thy brotherG80 should sinG264, rebukeG2008 him; and if he should repentG3340, forgiveG863 him. 4And if he should sinG264 against thee sevenG2034 times in the dayG2250, and sevenG2034 times should returnG1994 to thee, sayingG3004, I repentG3340, thou shalt forgiveG863 him. 5And the apostlesG652 saidG3004 to the LordG2962, Give more faithG4102 to us. 6But the LordG2962 saidG3004, If ye have faithG4102 as a grainG2848 of mustardG4615 [seed], ye had saidG3004 to this sycamine tree, Be thou rooted up, and be thou plantedG5452 in the seaG2281, and it would have obeyedG5219 you. 7But which of you [is there] who, having a bondman ploughing or shepherding, when he comesG1525 in out of the fieldG68, will sayG3004, ComeG1525 and lie down immediatelyG2112 to table? 8But will he not sayG3004 to him, PrepareG2090 what I shall sup on, and girdG4024 thyself and serveG1247 me that I may eatG2068 and drinkG4095; and after that thou shalt eatG2068 and drinkG4095? 9Is he thankfulG5485 to the bondman because he has done what was ordered? I judge not. 10ThusG3779 ye alsoG2532, whenG3752 ye shall have done all thingsG3956 that have beenG1510 ordered you, sayG3004, We areG1510 unprofitable bondmen; we have done what it wasG1510 our duty to do. 11And it cameG1096 to passG1330 as he was goingG4198 up to JerusalemG2419, that he passedG1330 through the midstG3319 of SamariaG4540 and GalileeG1056. 12And as he enteredG1525 into a certainG5100 villageG2968 tenG1176 leprous menG435 met him, who stoodG2476 afar off. 13And they liftedG142 up [their] voiceG5456 sayingG3004, JesusG2424, MasterG1988, have compassion on us. 14And seeingG3708 [them] he saidG3004 to them, GoG4198, shew yourselves to the priestsG2409. And it cameG1096 to passG1096 as they were goingG5217 they were cleansedG2511. 15And oneG1520 of them, seeingG3708 that he was cured, turnedG5290 backG5290, glorifyingG1392 1GodG2316 with a loudG3173 voiceG5456, 16and fellG4098 on [his] faceG4383 at his feetG4228 givingG2168 him thanksG2168: and he wasG1510 a SamaritanG4541. 17And JesusG2424 answeringG611 saidG3004, Were not the tenG1176 cleansedG2511? but the nineG1767, whereG4226 [are they]? 18There have not been foundG2147 to returnG5290 and giveG1325 gloryG1391 to 2GodG2316 save this stranger. 19And he saidG3004 to him, RiseG450 up and goG4198 thy way: thy faithG4102 has made thee well. 20And having been askedG1905 by the PhariseesG5330, When is the kingdomG932 of 3GodG2316 comingG2064? he answeredG611 them and saidG3004, The kingdomG932 of 4GodG2316 does not comeG2064 with observation; 21nor shall they sayG3004, Lo hereG5602, or, Lo there; for beholdG2400, the kingdomG932 of 5GodG2316 isG1510 in the midst of you. 22And he saidG3004 to the disciplesG3101, DaysG2250 are comingG2064, whenG3753 ye shall desireG1937 to seeG3708 oneG1520 of the daysG2250 of the SonG5207 of manG444, and shall not seeG3708 [it]. 23And they will sayG3004 to you, Lo hereG5602, or Lo there; goG565 not, nor follow [them]. 24For as the lightningG796 shinesG2989 which lightens from [one end] under heavenG3772 to [the other end] under heavenG3772, thusG3779 shall the SonG5207 of manG444 beG1510 in his dayG2250. 25But firstG4413 he must sufferG3958 manyG4183 thingsG3778 and be rejectedG593 of this generationG1074. 26And as it took placeG1096 in the daysG2250 of Noe, thusG3779 alsoG2532 shall it beG1510 in the daysG2250 of the SonG5207 of manG444: 27they ateG2068, they drankG4095, they marriedG1060, they were given in marriage, until the dayG2250 that Noe enteredG1525 into the arkG2787, and the floodG2627 cameG2064 and destroyedG622 all [of them]; 28and in like manner as took placeG1096 in the daysG2250 of LotG3091: they ateG2068, they drankG4095, they boughtG59, they soldG4453, they plantedG5452, they builded; 29but on the dayG2250 that LotG3091 wentG1831 out from SodomG4670, it rainedG1026 fireG4442 and sulphur from heavenG3772, and destroyedG622 all [of them]: 30after this [manner] shall it beG1510 in the dayG2250 that the SonG5207 of manG444 isG1510 revealedG601. 31In that dayG2250, he who shall beG1510 on the housetopG1430, and his stuff in the houseG3614, let him not goG2597 down to takeG142 it awayG142; and he that isG1510 in the fieldG68, let him likewiseG3668 not returnG1994 backG1994. 32RememberG3421 the wifeG1135 of LotG3091. 33Whosoever shall seekG2212 to save his lifeG5590 shall loseG622 it, and whosoever shall loseG622 it shall preserve it. 34I sayG3004 to you, In that nightG3571 there shall beG1510 twoG1417 [menG3778] upon oneG1520 bedG2825; oneG1520 shall beG1510 seized and the otherG2087 shall beG1510 let go. 35TwoG1417 [women] shall beG1510 grindingG229 together; the oneG1520 shall beG1510 seized and the otherG2087 shall beG1510 let go. 36[Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be seized and the other let go.] 37And answeringG611 they sayG3004 to him, WhereG3699, LordG2962? And he saidG3004 to them, WhereG3699 the bodyG4983 [is], there the eagles will be gatheredG1996 togetherG1996.
