Four Thousand Men Fed

2“I feelG4697compassionσπλαγχνίζομαιsplagchnizomaiG4697for thepeopleὄχλονochlonG3793becauseὅτιhotiG3754they have remainedπροσμένουσίνprosmenousinG4357with Me for threeτρεῖςtreisG5140daysἡμέραιhēmeraiG2250alreadyἤδηēdēG2235and haveἔχουσινechousinG2192nothingοὐκoukG3756 G5100to eatG2068.

3And ifἐὰνeanG1437I sendἀπολύσωapolusōG630them awayG630hungryνήστειςnēsteisG3523to their homesοἶκονoikonG3624,they will faintἐκλυθήσονταιekluthēsontaiG1590on the wayὁδῷ·hodōG3598;and someτινεςtinesG5100of them haveG1510comeG1510from a greatG3113distanceG3113.”

4And His disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101repliedἀπεκρίθησανapekrithēsanG611to Him, “WhereπόθενpothenG4159will anyoneτιςtisG5100be ableδυνήσεταίdunēsetaiG1410to find enoughbreadἄρτωνartōnG740hereὧδεhōdeG5602in thisdesolateG2047placeἐρημίας;erēmiasG2047to satisfyχορτάσαιchortasaiG5526theseG3778peopleG3778?”

12SighingG389deeplyG389in His spiritπνεύματιpneumatiG4151,He saidλέγει·legeiG3004,“WhyτίtiG5101does thisαὕτηhautēG3778generationγενεὰgeneaG1074demandζητεῖzēteiG2212asignσημεῖον;sēmeionG4592?TrulyἀμὴνamēnG281I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you,noεἰeiG1487signσημεῖον.sēmeionG4592will be givenδοθήσεταιdothēsetaiG1325to thisταύτῃtautēG3778generationγενεᾷgeneaG1074!”

13And leavingἀφεὶςapheisG863them, He againπάλινpalinG3825embarkedἐμβὰςembasG1684and wentG565awayἀπῆλθενapēlthenG565to the otherπέραν.peranG4008sideG4008.

35Forwhoeverὃς ἐὰνhos eanG3739 G1437wantsθέλῃthelēG2309to saveσῶσαι,sōsaiG4982hislifeψυχὴνpsuchēnG5590will loseἀπολέσειapoleseiG622it, but whoeverὃς ἂνhos anG3739 G302losesG622hislifeψυχὴνpsuchēnG5590for My sakeἕνεκενhenekenG1752and the gospel’sεὐαγγελίου,euangeliouG2098will saveσώσειsōseiG4982it.

36For whatτίtiG5101does it benefitὠφελεῖōpheleiG5623a personἄνθρωπονanthrōponG444to gainκερδῆσαιkerdēsaiG2770the wholeὅλονholonG3650worldκόσμονkosmonG2889,and forfeitζημιωθῆναιzēmiōthēnaiG2210his soulψυχὴνpsuchēnG5590?
