Mark 11
Darby Bible
1And whenG3753 they drawG1448 near to JerusalemG2414, to BethphageG967 and BethanyG963, at the mountG3735 of Olives, he sendsG649 twoG1417 of his disciplesG3101, 2and saysG3004 to them, GoG5217 into the villageG2968 which is over against you, and immediately on enteringG1531 into it ye will findG2147 a coltG4454 tied, upon which no [child] of manG444 has ever satG2523: looseG3089 it and lead it [here]. 3And if any oneG5100 sayG3004 to you, WhyG5101 do ye this? sayG3004, The LordG2962 has needG5532 of it; and straightway he sendsG649 it hither. 4And they departedG565, and foundG2147 a coltG4454 boundG1210 to the doorG2374 without at the crossway, and they looseG3089 him. 5And some of those who stoodG2476 there saidG3004 to them, What are ye doing, loosing the coltG4454? 6And they saidG3004 to them as JesusG2424 had commanded. And they let them [do it]. 7And they led the coltG4454 to JesusG2424, and cast their clothesG2440 upon it, and he satG2523 on it; 8and manyG4183 strewed their clothesG2440 on the wayG3598, and othersG243 cut down branches from the trees [and went on strewing them on the wayG3598]. 9And those goingG4254 on before and those followingG190 criedG2896 out, HosannaG5614! blessedG2127 [be] he that comesG2064 in [the] Lord's nameG3686. 10BlessedG2127 [be] the comingG2064 kingdomG932 of our fatherG3962 DavidG1138. HosannaG5614 in the highestG5310! 11And he enteredG1525 into JerusalemG2414 and into the templeG2411; and having lookedG4017 round on all thingsG3956, the hourG5610 beingG1510 alreadyG2235 late, he wentG1831 out to BethanyG963 with the twelveG1427. 12And on the morrow, when they were goneG1831 out of BethanyG963, he hungered. 13And seeingG3708 from afar off a fig-tree which had leaves, he cameG2064, if perhapsG686 he might findG2147 somethingG5100 on it. And having comeG2064 up to it he foundG2147 nothing but leaves, for it wasG1510 not the timeG2540 of figsG4810. 14And answeringG611 he saidG3004 to it, Let no oneG3367 eatG2068 fruitG2590 of thee any moreG3371 for ever. And his disciplesG3101 heardG191 [it]. 15And they comeG2064 to JerusalemG2414, and enteringG1525 into the temple, he beganG757 to castG1544 out those who soldG4453 and who boughtG59 in the temple, and he overthrew the tablesG5132 of the moneychangers and the seatsG2515 of the dove-sellers, 16and suffered not that any oneG5100 should carry any package through the templeG2411. 17And he taughtG1321 sayingG3004 to them, Is it not writtenG1125, My houseG3624 shall be calledG2564 a houseG3624 of prayerG4335 for all the nationsG1484? but ye have madeG4160 it a denG4693 of robbersG3027. 18And the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the scribesG1122 heardG191 [it], and they soughtG2212 howG4459 they might destroyG622 him; for they fearedG5399 him, because all the crowdG3793 were astonishedG1605 at his doctrine. 19And whenG3752 it was eveningG3796 he wentG1607 forthG1607 without the cityG4172. 20And passing by earlyG4404 in the morningG4404 they sawG3708 the fig-tree dried up from the rootsG4491. 21And PeterG4074, remembering [what Jesus had saidG3004], saysG3004 to him, RabbiG4461, seeG3708, the fig-tree which thou cursedst is dried up. 22And JesusG2424 answeringG611 saysG3004 to them, Have faithG4102 in 1GodG2316. 23Verily I sayG3004 to you, that whosoever shall sayG3004 to this mountainG3735, BeG1510 thou takenG142 awayG142 and castG906 into the seaG2281, and shall not doubtG1252 in his heartG2588, but believeG4100 that what he saysG3004 takesG142 placeG1096, whatever he shall sayG3004 shall comeG1096 to passG1096 for him. 24For this reason I sayG3004 to you, All thingsG3778 whatsoever ye prayG4336 for and askG154, believeG4100 that ye receiveG2983 it, and it shall come to pass for you. 25And whenG3752 ye standG4739 prayingG4336, forgiveG863 if ye have anythingG5100 against any oneG5100, that your FatherG3962 alsoG2532 who is in the heavensG3772 may forgiveG863 you your offences. 26But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in the heavens forgive your offences. 27And they comeG2064 againG3825 to JerusalemG2414. And as he walkedG4043 about in the temple, the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the scribesG1122 and the eldersG4245 comeG2064 to him, 28and they sayG3004 to him, By what authorityG1849 doest thou these thingsG3778? and who gaveG1325 thee this authorityG1849, that thou shouldest do these thingsG3778? 29And JesusG2424 answeringG611 saidG3004 to them, I alsoG2532 will askG1905 you oneG1520 thingG3778, and answerG611 me, and I will tellG3004 you by what authorityG1849 I do these thingsG3778: 30The baptismG908 of JohnG2491, wasG1510 it of heavenG3772, or of menG444? answerG611 me. 31And they reasonedG1260 with themselves, sayingG3004, If we should sayG3004, Of heavenG3772, he will sayG3004, WhyG5101 [then] have ye not believedG4100 him? 32but should we sayG3004, Of menG444 — they fearedG5399 the peopleG2992; for all heldG2192 of JohnG2491 that he wasG1510 truly a prophetG4396. 33And they answeringG611 sayG3004 to JesusG2424, We do not know. And JesusG2424 [answeringG611] saysG3004 to them, Neither do I tellG3004 you by what authorityG1849 I do these thingsG3778.
