Genesis 34:18-24
And their wordsH1697 were goodH3190 in the eyesH5869 of HamorH2544 and ShechemH7927, Hamor's sonH1121.
And the youthH5288 did not delayH309 to do this, because he had delightH2654 in Jacob's daughterH1323. And he was honourable above all in the houseH1004 of his fatherH1.
And HamorH2544 and ShechemH7927 his sonH1121 cameH935 to the gateH8179 of their cityH5892, and spokeH1696 to the menH376 of their cityH5892, sayingH559,
These menH376 are peaceable with us; therefore let them dwellH3427 in the landH776, and trade in it. And the landH776 — behold, it is of wideH7342 extent before them. We will takeH3947 their daughtersH1323 as wivesH802, and giveH5414 them our daughtersH1323.
But onlyH389 in this will the menH376 consent to us to dwellH3427 with us, to beH1961 oneH259 peopleH5971 — if every maleH2145 among us beH1961 circumcisedH4135, just as they are circumcisedH4135.
Their cattleH929, and their possessions, and every beast of theirs, shall they not be ours? onlyH389 let us consent to them, and they will dwellH3427 with us.
And all that wentH3318 out at the gateH8179 of his cityH5892 hearkened to HamorH2544 and to ShechemH7927 his sonH1121; and every maleH2145 was circumcisedH4135 — all that wentH3318 out at the gateH8179 of his cityH5892.
