Genesis 21:12-34
12And 1GodH430 saidH559 to AbrahamH85, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the ladH5288 and because of thy handmaid: [in] all that SarahH8283 hath saidH559 to thee hearken to her voiceH6963, for in IsaacH3327 shall a seedH2233 be calledH7121 to thee. 13But alsoH1571 the sonH1121 of the handmaid will I makeH7760 a nationH1471, because he is thy seedH2233. 14And AbrahamH85 roseH7925 up earlyH7925 in the morningH1242, and tookH3947 breadH3899, and a flask of waterH4325, and gaveH5414 [it] to HagarH1904, puttingH5414 [it] on her shoulderH7926 — and the childH3206, and sentH7971 her awayH7971. And she departed, and wanderedH8582 about in the wildernessH4057 of Beer-sheba. 15And the waterH4325 was exhaustedH3615 from the flask; and she castH7993 the childH3206 under oneH259 of the shrubs, 16and she went and satH3427 downH3427 over against [him], a bow-shot off; for she saidH559, Let me not behold the deathH4194 of the childH3206. And she satH3427 over against [him], and liftedH5375 up her voiceH6963 and weptH1058. 17And 2GodH430 heardH8085 the voiceH6963 of the ladH5288. And the AngelH4397 of 3GodH430 calledH7121 to HagarH1904 from the heavensH8064, and saidH559 to her, What [aileth] thee, HagarH1904? FearH3372 not; for 4GodH430 hath heardH8085 the voiceH6963 of the ladH5288 there, whereH834 he is. 18AriseH6965, takeH5375 the ladH5288, and holdH2388 him in thy handH3027; for I will makeH7760 of him a greatH1419 nationH1471. 19And 5GodH430 openedH6491 her eyesH5869, and she sawH7200 a wellH875 of waterH4325; and she went and filledH4390 the flask with waterH4325, and gaveH8248 the ladH5288 drinkH8248. 20And 6GodH430 wasH1961 with the ladH5288, and he grewH1431; and he dweltH3427 in the wildernessH4057, and becameH1961 an archer. 21And he dweltH3427 in the wildernessH4057 of ParanH6290. And his motherH517 tookH3947 him a wifeH802 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 22And it came to pass at that timeH6256 that AbimelechH40, and Phichol the captain of his hostH6635, spoke to AbrahamH85, sayingH559, 7GodH430 is with thee in all that thou doest. 23And nowH6258 swearH7650 to me hereH2008 by 8GodH430 that thou wilt not deal deceitfully with me, nor with my son, nor with my grandson. According to the kindness that I have done to thee, thou shalt do to me, and to the landH776 in which thou sojournest. 24And AbrahamH85 saidH559, I will swearH7650. 25And AbrahamH85 reprovedH3198 AbimelechH40 because of a wellH875 of waterH4325 that Abimelech's servantsH5650 had violently taken awayH1497. 26And AbimelechH40 saidH559, I do not knowH3045 who has done this, neither hast thou toldH5046 me [of it], neither have I heardH8085 [of it] but to-day. 27And AbrahamH85 tookH3947 sheepH6629 and oxenH1241, and gaveH5414 them to AbimelechH40; and both of them madeH3772 a covenantH1285. 28And AbrahamH85 setH5324 sevenH7651 ewe-lambs of the flockH6629 by themselves. 29And AbimelechH40 saidH559 to AbrahamH85, What [mean] these sevenH7651 ewe-lambs, these which thou hast setH5324 by themselves? 30And he saidH559, That thou takeH3947 the sevenH7651 ewe-lambs of my handH3027, that they may beH1961 a witness to me that I have dugH2658 this wellH875. 31ThereforeH3651 he calledH7121 that placeH4725 Beer-sheba, because there they had swornH7650, both of them. 32And they madeH3772 a covenantH1285 at Beer-sheba. And AbimelechH40 roseH6965 up, and Phichol the captain of his hostH6635, and returnedH7725 into the landH776 of the PhilistinesH6430. 33And [Abraham] plantedH5193 a tamariskH815 in Beer-sheba, and calledH7121 there on the nameH8034 of Jehovah, the Eternal 9GodH410. 34And AbrahamH85 sojourned in the Philistines' landH776 manyH7227 daysH3117.
