Acts 7:2-37
And he saidG5346, Brethren and fathersG3962, hearken. The 1GodG2316 of gloryG1391 appeared to our fatherG3962 AbrahamG11 when he wasG1510 in MesopotamiaG3318, before he dwelt in Charran,
and saidG3004 to him, GoG1831 out of thy landG1093 and out of thy kindred, and comeG1831 into the landG1093 which I will shew thee.
ThenG5119 goingG1831 out of the landG1093 of the Chaldeans he dwelt in Charran, and thence, after his fatherG3962 diedG599, he removed him into this landG1093 in which ye nowG3568 dwellG2730.
And he did not giveG1325 him an inheritanceG2817 in it, not evenG2532 what his footG4228 could stand on; and promisedG1861 to giveG1325 it to him for a possessionG2697, and to his seedG4690 after him, when he had no childG5043.
And 2GodG2316 spokeG2980 thusG3779: His seedG4690 shall beG1510 a sojourner in a strange landG1093, and they shall enslave them and evil entreat [them] fourG5071 hundredG5071 yearsG2094;
and the nationG1484 to which they shall be in bondage will I judgeG2919, saidG3004 3GodG2316; and after these thingsG3778 they shall comeG1831 forthG1831 and serveG1398 me in this placeG5117.
And he gaveG1325 to him [the] covenantG1242 of circumcisionG4061; and thusG3779 he begat IsaacG2464 and circumcised him the eighthG3590 dayG2250; and IsaacG2464 JacobG2384, and JacobG2384 the twelveG1427 patriarchsG3966.
And the patriarchsG3966, envying JosephG2501, sold him away into EgyptG125. And 4GodG2316 wasG1510 with him,
and delivered him out of all his tribulationsG2347, and gaveG1325 him favour and wisdomG4678 in the sight of PharaohG5328 kingG935 of EgyptG125, and he appointedG2525 him chief over EgyptG125 and all his houseG3624.
But a famineG3042 cameG2064 upon all the land of EgyptG125 and CanaanG5477, and greatG3173 distress, and our fathersG3962 foundG2147 no food.
But JacobG2384, having heardG191 of there beingG1510 corn in EgyptG125, sent out our fathersG3962 firstG4413;
and the secondG1208 timeG1208 JosephG2501 was made known to his brethren, and the familyG1085 of JosephG2501 becameG1096 known to PharaohG5328.
And JosephG2501 sentG649 and calledG3333 down to him his fatherG3962 JacobG2384 and all [his] kindred, seventy-five soulsG5590.
And JacobG2384 wentG2597 downG2597 into EgyptG125 and died, he and our fathersG3962,
and were carried over to Sychem and placedG5087 in the sepulchre which AbrahamG11 bought for a sum of moneyG694 of the sonsG5207 of Emmor the [father] of Sychem.
But as the timeG5550 of promiseG1860 drew near which 5GodG2316 had promisedG1860 to AbrahamG11, the peopleG2992 increasedG837 and multipliedG4129 in EgyptG125,
until another kingG935 over EgyptG125 aroseG450 who did not know JosephG2501.
He dealt subtilly with our raceG1085, and evil entreated the fathersG3962, casting out their infantsG1025 that they might not live.
In which timeG2540 MosesG3475 wasG1510 bornG1080, and wasG1510 exceedingly lovely, who wasG1510 nourished threeG5140 monthsG3376 in the houseG3624 of his fatherG3962.
And when he was cast out, the daughterG2364 of PharaohG5328 took him up, and brought him up for herself [to be] for a sonG5207.
And MosesG3475 wasG1510 instructed in all [the] wisdomG4678 of the EgyptiansG124, and he wasG1510 mightyG1415 in his wordsG3056 and deedsG2041.
And whenG5613 a periodG5550 of fortyG5063 years was fulfilled to him, it cameG305 into his heartG2588 to look upon his brethren, the sonsG5207 of IsraelG2474;
and seeingG3708 a certainG5100 oneG5100 wrongedG91, he defended [him], and avenged him that was being oppressed, smiting the EgyptianG124.
For he thoughtG3543 that his brethren would understandG4920 that 6GodG2316 by his handG5495 was givingG1325 them deliverance. But they understoodG4920 not.
And on the morrow he shewed himself to them as they wereG1510 contending, and compelled them to peaceG1515, sayingG3004, Ye areG1510 brethren, why do ye wrongG91 oneG240 another?
But he that was wronging his neighbour thrust him awayG683, sayingG3004, Who established thee rulerG758 and judgeG1348 over us?
Dost thou wishG2309 to kill me as thou killedst the EgyptianG124 yesterdayG5504?
And MosesG3475 fledG5343 at this sayingG3056, and becameG1096 a sojourner in the landG1093 of Madiam, whereG3757 he begat twoG1417 sonsG5207.
And when fortyG5062 yearsG2094 were fulfilled, an angelG32 appeared to him in the wildernessG2048 of mountG3735 SinaiG4614, in a flameG5395 of fireG4442 of a bushG942.
And MosesG3475 seeingG3708 it wonderedG2296 at the visionG3705; and as he went up to considerG2657 it, there was a voiceG5456 of [the] LordG2962,
I am the 7GodG2316 of thy fathersG3962, the 8GodG2316 of AbrahamG11, and of IsaacG2464, and of JacobG2384. And MosesG3475 trembled, and durst not considerG2657 [it].
And the LordG2962 saidG3004 to him, LooseG3089 the sandalG5266 of thy feetG4228, for the placeG5117 on which thou standest isG1510 holyG40 groundG1093.
I have surely seenG3708 the ill treatment of my peopleG2992 which is in EgyptG125, and I have heardG191 their groan, and have comeG1204 down to take them out of it; and nowG3568, comeG1204, I will sendG649 thee to EgyptG125.
This MosesG3475, whom they refused, sayingG3004, Who made thee rulerG758 and judgeG1348? him did 9GodG2316 sendG649 [to be] a rulerG758 and deliverer with the handG5495 of the angelG32 who appeared to him in the bushG942.
He led them out, having wrought wondersG5059 and signsG4592 in the landG1093 of EgyptG125, and in the RedG2063 seaG2281, and in the wildernessG2048 fortyG5062 yearsG2094.
This isG1510 the MosesG3475 who saidG3004 to the sonsG5207 of IsraelG2474, A prophetG4396 shall 10GodG2316 raiseG450 up to you out of your brethren like me [him shall ye hear].
