Isaiah 43
Darby Bible
1But nowH6258 thusH3541 saith Jehovah, that createdH1254 thee, O JacobH3290, and he that formedH3335 thee, O IsraelH3478: FearH3372 not, for I have redeemedH1350 thee, I have calledH7121 [thee] by thy nameH8034; thou art mine. 2When thou passest through the watersH4325, I [will be] with thee; and through the riversH5104, they shall not overflowH7857 thee; when thou walkest through the fireH784, thou shalt not be burnedH1197, neither shall the flameH3852 kindleH1197 upon thee. 3For I [am] Jehovah thy 1GodH430, the HolyH6918 OneH6918 of IsraelH3478, thy Saviour: I gaveH5414 EgyptH4714 for thy ransomH3724, Ethiopia and SebaH5434 for thee. 4Since thou wast preciousH3365 in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have lovedH157 thee; and I will giveH5414 menH120 for thee, and peoplesH3816 for thy lifeH5315. 5FearH3372 not, for I [am] with thee: I will bringH935 thy seedH2233 from the eastH4217, and gatherH6908 thee from the westH4628; 6I will sayH559 to the northH6828, GiveH5414 up; and to the southH8486, Keep not back: bringH935 my sonsH1121 from afarH7350, and my daughtersH1323 from the endH7097 of the earthH776, 7every one that is calledH7121 by my nameH8034, and whom I have createdH1254 for my gloryH3519: I have formedH3335 him, yea, I have madeH6213 him. 8BringH3318 forthH3318 the blindH5787 peopleH5971 that have eyesH5869, and the deafH2795 that have earsH241. 9Let all the nationsH1471 be gatheredH622 togetherH3162, and let the peoplesH3816 be assembled: who among them declareth this, or causeth us to hearH8085 formerH7223 things? let them bring forth their witnessesH5707, that they may be justifiedH6663; or let them hearH8085, and sayH559, [It is] truthH571. 10Ye are my witnessesH5707, saith Jehovah, and my servantH5650 whom I have chosenH977; that ye may knowH3045 and believeH539 me, and understandH995 that I [am] HE: before me there wasH1961 no 2GodH410 formedH3335, neither shall there beH1961 after me. 11I, I [am] Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour. 12It is I that have declaredH5046, and have savedH3467, and have shewed, when there was no strangeH2114 [godH410] among you; and ye are my witnessesH5707, saith Jehovah, that I [am] 3GodH410. 13Yea, since the dayH3117 was, I [am] HE, and there is none that delivereth out of my handH3027: I will work, and who shall hinder it? 14ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, your RedeemerH1350, the HolyH6918 OneH6918 of IsraelH3478: For your sakeH4616 I have sentH7971 to BabylonH894, and have broughtH3381 all of them downH3381 as fugitives, even the ChaldeansH3778, whose cryH7440 is in the shipsH591. 15I [am] Jehovah, your HolyH6918 OneH6918, the Creator of IsraelH3478, your KingH4428. 16ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, who maketh a wayH1870 in the seaH3220, and a path in the mightyH5794 watersH4325, 17who bringeth forthH3318 chariotH7393 and horseH5483, armyH2428 and power — they lieH7901 down togetherH3162, they shall not riseH6965; they are extinct, they are quenchedH3518 as tow: 18— RememberH2142 not the formerH7223 thingsH7223, neither considerH995 the ancient thingsH7223: 19behold, I do a newH2319 thingH2319; nowH6258 it shall springH6779 forth: shall ye not knowH3045 it? I will evenH637 makeH7760 a wayH1870 in the wildernessH4057, riversH5104 in the waste. 20The beast of the fieldH7704 shall glorifyH3513 me, the jackalsH8577 and the ostrichesH3284; for I will giveH5414 watersH4325 in the wildernessH4057, riversH5104 in the waste, to giveH5414 drinkH8248 to my peopleH5971, my chosen. 21This peopleH5971 have I formedH3335 for myself: they shall shew forth my praiseH8416. 22— But thou hast not calledH7121 upon me, JacobH3290; for thou hast been wearyH3021 of me, O IsraelH3478: 23thou hast not broughtH935 me the small cattle of thy burnt-offerings, neither hast thou glorifiedH3513 me with thy sacrificesH2077. I have not caused thee to toil with an oblation, nor weariedH3021 thee with incense. 24Thou hast boughtH7069 me no sweet caneH7070 with moneyH3701, neither hast thou filledH7301 me with the fatH2459 of thy sacrificesH2077; but thou hast made me to toil with thy sinsH2403, thou hast weariedH3021 me with thine iniquitiesH5771. 25— I, I [am] He that blotteth out thy transgressionsH6588 for mine own sakeH4616, and I will not rememberH2142 thy sinsH2403. 26Put me in remembranceH2142, let us plead togetherH3162; rehearse thine own [cause], that thou mayest be justifiedH6663. 27Thy firstH7223 fatherH1 hath sinnedH2398, and thy mediators have rebelledH6586 against me. 28And I have profanedH2490 the princesH8269 of the sanctuaryH6944, and have givenH5414 JacobH3290 to the ban, and IsraelH3478 to reproaches.
