Isaiah 2
Darby Bible
1The wordH1697 that IsaiahH3470 the sonH1121 of AmozH531 sawH2372 concerning JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389. 2And it shall come to pass in the endH319 of daysH3117, [that] the mountainH2022 of Jehovah's houseH1004 shall beH1961 establishedH3559 on the topH7218 of the mountainsH2022, and shall beH1961 liftedH5375 up above the hillsH1389; and all the nationsH1471 shall flow unto it. 3And manyH7227 peoplesH5971 shall goH1980 and sayH559, ComeH1980, and let us goH1980 up to the mountainH2022 of Jehovah, to the houseH1004 of the 1GodH430 of JacobH3290; and he will teachH3384 us of his waysH1870, and we will walkH1980 in his pathsH734. For out of ZionH6726 shall goH1980 forthH3318 the lawH8451, and Jehovah's wordH1697 from JerusalemH3389. 4And he shall judgeH8199 among the nationsH1471, and shall reproveH3198 manyH7227 peoplesH5971; and they shall forge their swordsH2719 into ploughshares, and their spearsH2595 into pruning-knives: nationH1471 shall not liftH5375 up swordH2719 against nationH1471, neither shall they learnH3925 warH4421 any more. 5HouseH1004 of JacobH3290, come ye, and let us walk in the lightH216 of Jehovah. 6For thou hast cast off thy peopleH5971, the houseH1004 of JacobH3290, because they are filledH4390 [with what comes] from the eastH6924, and use auguries like the PhilistinesH6430, and ally themselves with the childrenH3206 of foreignersH5237. 7And their landH776 is fullH4390 of silverH3701 and goldH2091, and there is no endH7097 of their treasuresH214: their landH776 also is fullH4390 of horsesH5483, and there is no endH7097 of their chariotsH4818. 8And their landH776 is fullH4390 of idolsH457; they bowH7812 themselves downH7812 to the workH4639 of their own handsH3027, to that which their fingersH676 have madeH6213. 9And the mean manH376 shall be bowedH7817 downH7817, and the great manH376 shall be brought lowH8213: and do not thou forgiveH5375 them! 10Enter into the rockH6697, and hideH2934 thee in the dustH6083, from before the terrorH6343 of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majestyH1926. 11The lofty eyesH5869 of manH376 shall be brought lowH8213, and the haughtinessH7312 of menH376 shall be bowedH7817 downH7817, and Jehovah aloneH905 shall be exaltedH7682 in that dayH3117. 12For there shall be a dayH3117 of Jehovah of hostsH6635 upon everythingH3605 proudH1343 and loftyH7311, and upon everythingH3605 liftedH5375 up, and it shall be brought lowH8213; 13and upon all the cedarsH730 of LebanonH3844, highH7311 and liftedH5375 up, and upon all the oaksH437 of BashanH1316; 14and upon all the loftyH7311 mountainsH2022, and upon all the hillsH1389 that are liftedH5375 up; 15and upon every highH1364 towerH4026, and upon every fenced wallH2346; 16and upon all the shipsH591 of TarshishH8659, and upon all pleasant works of art. 17And the loftiness of manH376 shall be bowedH7817 downH7817, and the haughtinessH7312 of menH376 shall be brought lowH8213; and Jehovah aloneH905 shall be exaltedH7682 in that dayH3117: 18and the idolsH457 shall utterly pass away. 19And they shall goH935 into the cavesH4631 of the rocksH6697, and into the holes of the earthH776, from before the terrorH6343 of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majestyH1926, when he shall ariseH6965 to terrify the earthH776. 20In that dayH3117 menH120 shall castH7993 awayH7993 their idolsH457 of silverH3701 and their idolsH457 of goldH2091, which they madeH6213 [each] for himself to worship, to the moles and to the batsH5847; 21to goH935 into the cleftsH5585 of the rocksH6697, and into the fissures of the cliffsH5553, from before the terrorH6343 of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majestyH1926, when he shall ariseH6965 to terrify the earthH776. 22CeaseH2308 ye from manH120, whose breathH5397 is in his nostrilsH639; for what account is to be made of him?
