Isaiah 30:6-14
— The burdenH4853 of the beasts of the southH5045: Through a landH776 of troubleH6869 and anguish, whence come the lionessH3833 and lionH3918, the viperH660 and fiery flying serpent, they carryH5375 their riches upon the shouldersH3802 of asses, and their treasuresH214 upon the bunches of camelsH1581, to the peopleH5971 that shall not profitH3276 [them].
For EgyptH4714 shall helpH5826 in vain, and to no purpose; thereforeH3651 have I named her, Arrogance, that doeth nothing.
NowH6258 goH935, writeH3789 it before them on a tabletH3871, and recordH3789 it in a bookH5612, that it may beH1961 for the time to comeH935, as a witnessH5707 for everH5769,
that this is a rebelliousH4805 peopleH5971, lying children, children that will not hearH8085 the lawH8451 of Jehovah;
who sayH559 to the seersH2374, SeeH7200 not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things; speakH1696 unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits;
get you out of the wayH1870, turnH5493 asideH5493 out of the pathH734, cause the HolyH6918 OneH6918 of IsraelH3478 to ceaseH7673 from before us!
ThereforeH3651 thusH3541 saith the HolyH6918 OneH2088 of IsraelH3478: Because ye rejectH3988 this wordH1697, and confide in oppressionH6233 and wilfulness, and depend thereon,
thereforeH3651 this iniquityH5771 shall beH1961 to you as a breachH6556 ready to fallH5307, swelling out in a towering wallH2346, whose breaking shall comeH935 suddenlyH6597 in an instantH6621.
And he shall breakH7665 it as the breakingH7665 of a potter's vessel, that is brokenH7665 in pieces unsparingly; and in the pieces of it there shall not be foundH4672 a sherd to take fireH784 from the hearth, or to scoop waterH4325 out of the cistern.
