Acts 21:1-29
And whenG5613, having got awayG575 from them, we at last sailed awayG575, we cameG2064 by a direct course to Cos, and on the morrow to Rhodes, and thence to Patara.
And having foundG2147 a shipG4143 passing over into PhoeniciaG5403, we went on board and sailed;
and having sighted CyprusG2954, and leftG2641 it on the leftG2641 hand, we sailedG4126 to SyriaG4947, and made the land at TyreG5184, for there the shipG4143 wasG1510 to discharge her cargoG1117.
And having found out the disciplesG3101, we remained there sevenG2033 daysG2250; who saidG3004 to PaulG3972 by the SpiritG4151 not to go up to JerusalemG2414.
But whenG3753 we had completed the daysG2250, we setG5087 out and took our journey, all of them accompanyingG4311 us, with wivesG1135 and childrenG5043, till [we were] out of the cityG4172. And kneeling downG5087 upon the shore we prayedG4336.
And having embraced oneG240 another, we wentG305 on board shipG4143, and they returnedG5290 home.
And we, having completed the voyageG4144, arrived from TyreG5184 at Ptolemais, and having saluted the brethren, we remainedG3306 oneG1520 dayG2250 with them.
And leaving on the morrow, we cameG2064 to CaesareaG2542; and enteringG1525 into the houseG3624 of PhilipG5376 the evangelistG2099, who wasG1510 of the sevenG2033, we abode with him.
NowG1161 this manG3778 had fourG5064 virginG3933 daughtersG2364 who prophesiedG4395.
And as we stayed there manyG4183 daysG2250, a certainG5100 man, by nameG3686 AgabusG13, a prophetG4396, cameG2718 downG2718 from Judaea,
and comingG2064 to us and takingG142 the girdle of PaulG3972, and having boundG1210 his ownG1438 handsG5495 and feetG4228, saidG3004, ThusG3779 saith the HolyG40 SpiritG4151, The manG435 whose this girdle isG1510 shall the JewsG2453 thusG3779 bindG1210 in JerusalemG2419, and deliverG3860 him up into the handsG5495 of [the] GentilesG1484.
And whenG5613 we heardG191 these thingsG3778, both we and those of the place besought [him] not to goG305 up to JerusalemG2419.
But PaulG3972 answeredG611, What do ye, weepingG2799 and breaking my heartG2588? for I am readyG2093 not onlyG3440 to be boundG1210, but alsoG2532 to dieG599 at JerusalemG2419 for the nameG3686 of the LordG2962 JesusG2424.
And when he would not be persuadedG3982, we were silentG2270, sayingG3004, The will of the LordG2962 be done.
And after these daysG2250, having got our effects ready, we wentG305 up to JerusalemG2414.
And [some] of the disciplesG3101 from CaesareaG2542 went with us, bringingG71 [with them] a certainG5100 Mnason, a Cyprian, an oldG744 discipleG3101, with whom we were to lodge.
And when we arrived at JerusalemG2414 the brethren gladly received us.
And on the morrow PaulG3972 went in with us to JamesG2385, and all the eldersG4245 cameG3854 there.
And having saluted them, he related oneG1520 by oneG1520 the thingsG3739 which 1GodG2316 had wrought among the nationsG1484 by his ministryG1248.
And they having heardG191 [it] glorifiedG1392 2GodG2316, and saidG3004 to him, Thou seest, brotherG80, howG4214 manyG4214 myriadsG3461 there areG1510 of the JewsG2453 who have believedG4100, and all areG1510 zealousG2207 of the lawG3551.
And they have been informed concerningG4012 thee, that thou teachest all the JewsG2453 among the nationsG1484 apostasyG646 from MosesG3475, sayingG3004 that they should not circumciseG4059 their childrenG5043, nor walkG4043 in the customsG1485.
What isG1510 it thenG3767? a multitudeG4128 must necessarily comeG2064 togetherG4905, for they will hearG191 that thou art comeG2064.
This do thereforeG3767 that we sayG3004 to thee: We have fourG5064 menG435 who have a vowG2171 on them;
takeG3880 these and beG1510 purifiedG48 with them, and pay their expenses, that they may have their headsG2776 shaved; and all will knowG1097 that [of those thingsG3778] of which they have beenG1510 informed about thee nothing isG1510 [true]; but that thou thyself alsoG2532 walkest orderly, keepingG5442 the lawG3551.
But concerningG4012 [those of] the nationsG1484 who have believedG4100, we have written, deciding that they should [observe no such thing, only to] keepG5442 themselves both from things offered to idols, and from bloodG129, and from things strangled, and from fornication.
ThenG5119 PaulG3972, takingG3880 the menG435, on the next dayG2250, having been purifiedG48, entered with them into the temple, signifying the time the daysG2250 of the purification would be fulfilled, until the offeringG4376 was offeredG4374 for every oneG1520 of them.
And whenG5613 the sevenG2033 daysG2250 were nearly completed, the JewsG2453 from AsiaG773, having seenG2300 him in the temple, set all the crowdG3793 in a tumult, and laidG1911 handsG5495 upon him,
cryingG2896, IsraelitesG2475, helpG997! this isG1510 the manG444 who teachesG1321 all everywhereG3837 against the peopleG2992, and the lawG3551, and this placeG5117, and has broughtG1521 GreeksG1672 too into the templeG2411, and profaned this holyG40 placeG5117.
For they had before seen TrophimusG5161 the EphesianG2180 with him in the cityG4172, whom they supposed that PaulG3972 had broughtG1521 into the temple.
