Mark 14:43-72
431ImmediatelyG2117 while He was stillG2089 speakingG2980, JudasG2455, oneG1520 of the twelveG1427, cameG3854 up 2accompaniedG3326G846 by a crowdG3793 with swordsG3162 and clubsG3586, who were from the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the scribesG1122 and the eldersG4245. 44NowG1161 he who was betrayingG3860 Him had givenG1325 them a signalG4953, sayingG3004, “WhomeverG3739G302 I kissG5368, He is the one; seizeG2902 Him and leadG520 Him awayG520 3underG806 guardG806.” 45After comingG2064, Judas immediatelyG2117 wentG4334 to Him, sayingG3004, “4RabbiG4461!” and kissedG2705 Him. 46They laidG1911 handsG5495 on Him and seizedG2902 Him. 47But oneG1520 of thoseG3588 who stoodG3936 by drewG4685 his swordG3162, and struckG3817 the slaveG1401 of the highG749 priestG749 and 5cutG851 offG851 his earG5621. 48And JesusG2424 saidG3004 to them, “Have you comeG1831 out with swordsG3162 and clubsG3586 to arrestG4815 Me, as you would againstG1909 a robberG3027? 49EveryG2596 dayG2250 I was with you 6in the templeG2413 teachingG1321, and you did not seizeG2902 Me; but this has taken place to fulfillG4137 the ScripturesG1124.” 50And they allG3956 leftG863 Him and fledG5343.
51A youngG3495 manG3495 was followingG4870 Him, wearingG4016 nothing but a linenG4616 sheetG4616 overG1909 his nakedG1131 body; and they seizedG2902 him. 52But he 7pulledG2641 freeG2641 of the linenG4616 sheetG4616 and escapedG5343 nakedG1131.
538They ledG520 JesusG2424 awayG520 to the highG749 priestG749; and allG3956 the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the eldersG4245 and the scribesG1122 gatheredG4905 togetherG4905. 54PeterG4074 had followedG190 Him at a distanceG3113, 9rightG2193 into 10the courtyardG833 of the highG749 priestG749; and he was sittingG4775 with the 11officersG5257 and 12warmingG2328 himself at the 13fireG5457. 55NowG1161 the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the wholeG3650 1415CouncilG4892 kept tryingG2212 to obtainG2212 testimonyG3141 againstG2596 JesusG2424 to putG2289 Him to deathG2289, and they were not findingG2147 any. 56For manyG4183 were givingG5576 falseG5576 testimonyG5576 againstG2596 Him, but their testimonyG3141 was not consistentG2470. 57SomeG5100 stoodG450 up and began to giveG5576 falseG5576 testimonyG5576 againstG2596 Him, sayingG3004, 58“We heardG191 Him sayG3004, ‘16I will destroyG2647 thisG3778 17templeG3485 madeG5499 with handsG5499, and in threeG5140 daysG2250 I will buildG3618 anotherG243 madeG886 withoutG886 handsG886.’” 59Not evenG3761 in thisG3779 respectG3779 was their testimonyG3141 consistentG2470. 60The highG749 priestG749 stoodG450 up and came forwardG1519G3319 and questionedG1905 JesusG2424, sayingG3004, “Do You not answerG611? 18WhatG5101 is it that theseG3778 menG3778 are testifyingG2649 againstG2649 You?” 6119But He keptG4623 silentG4623 and did not answerG611. 20AgainG3825 the highG749 priestG749 was questioningG1905 Him, and 21sayingG3004 to Him, “Are You 22the ChristG5547, the SonG5207 of the BlessedG2128 One?” 62And JesusG2424 saidG3004, “I amG1510; and you shall seeG3708 23the SonG5207 of ManG444 sittingG2521 at the rightG1188 handG1188 of PowerG1411, and 24comingG2064 with the cloudsG3507 of heavenG3772.” 6325TearingG1284 his clothesG5509, the highG749 priestG749 saidG3004, “WhatG5101 furtherG2089 needG5532 do we haveG2192 of witnessesG3144? 64You have heardG191 the 26blasphemyG988; howG5101 does it seemG5316 to you?” And they allG3956 condemnedG2632 Him to be deservingG1777 of deathG2288. 65SomeG5100 beganG757 to 27spitG1716 at Him, and 2829to blindfoldG4028 Him, and to beatG2852 Him with their fistsG2852, and to sayG3004 to Him, “30ProphesyG4395!” And the officersG5257 31receivedG2983 Him with 32slapsG4475 in the face.
6633As PeterG4074 was belowG2736 in 34the courtyardG833, oneG1520 of the servant-girlsG3814 of the highG749 priestG749 cameG2064, 67and seeingG3708 PeterG4074 35warmingG2328 himself, she lookedG1689 at him and saidG3004, “You alsoG2532 were with JesusG2424 the 36NazareneG3479.” 68But he deniedG720 it, sayingG3004, “I neitherG3777 knowG3609 norG3777 understandG1987 whatG5101 you are talkingG3004 about.” And he 37wentG1831 out ontoG1519 the 38porchG4259.39 69The servant-girlG3814 sawG3708 him, and beganG757 onceG3825 moreG3825 to sayG3004 to the bystandersG3936, “ThisG3778 is one of them!” 70But againG3825 40he deniedG720 it. And afterG3326 a littleG3398 whileG3398 the bystandersG3936 were againG3825 sayingG3004 to PeterG4074, “SurelyG230 you are one of them, 41for you are a GalileanG1057 tooG2532.” 71But he beganG757 to 42curseG332 and swearG3660, “I do not knowG3609 thisG3778 manG444 you are talkingG3004 about!” 72ImmediatelyG2117 a roosterG220 crowedG5455 a secondG1208 timeG1208. And PeterG4074 rememberedG363 howG5613 JesusG2424 had madeG3004 the remarkG4487 to him, “BeforeG4250 43a roosterG220 crowsG5455 twiceG1364, you will denyG533 Me threeG5151 timesG5151.” 44And he began to weepG2799.
