The Patmos Vision

936I, JohnG2491, your 37brotherG80 and 38fellowG4791 partakerG4791 in the tribulationG2347 and 39kingdomG932 and 4041perseveranceG5281 which are in JesusG2424, was on the islandG3520 calledG2564 PatmosG3963 42becauseG1223 of the wordG3056 of GodG2316 and the testimonyG3141 of JesusG2424. 10I was 4344in the SpiritG4151 on 45the Lord’sG2960 dayG2250, and I heardG191 behindG3694 me a loudG3173 voiceG5456 46likeG5613 the sound of a trumpetG4536, 11sayingG3004, “47WriteG1125 in a 48bookG975 whatG3739 you seeG991, and sendG3992 it to the 49sevenG2033 churchesG1577: to 50EphesusG2181 and to 51SmyrnaG4667 and to 52PergamumG4010 and to 53ThyatiraG2363 and to 54SardisG4554 and to 55PhiladelphiaG5359 and to 56LaodiceaG2993.”

12ThenG2532 I turnedG1994 to seeG991 the voiceG5456 that was speakingG2980 with me. And having turnedG1994 I sawG3708 57sevenG2033 goldenG5552 lampstandsG3087; 13and 58in the middleG3319 of the lampstandsG3087 I saw oneG3664 59likeG3664 60a sonG5207 of manG444, 61clothedG1746 in a robeG4158 reachingG4158 to the feetG4158, and 62girdedG4024 acrossG4314 His chestG3149 with a goldenG5552 sashG2223. 14His headG2776 and His 63hairG2359 were whiteG3022 likeG5613 whiteG3022 woolG2053, likeG5613 snowG5510; and 64His eyesG3788 were likeG5613 a flameG5395 of fireG4442. 15His 65feetG4228 were likeG3664 burnishedG5474 bronzeG5474, whenG5613 it has been madeG4448 to glowG4448 in a furnaceG2575, and His 66voiceG5456 was likeG5613 the soundG5456 of manyG4183 watersG5204. 16In His rightG1188 handG5495 He heldG2192 67sevenG2033 starsG792, and out of His mouthG4750 cameG1607 a 68sharpG3691 two-edgedG1366 swordG4501; and His 69faceG3799 was likeG5613 70the sunG2246 71shiningG5316 in its strengthG1411.

17WhenG3753 I sawG3708 Him, I 72fellG4098 at His feetG4228 likeG5613 a deadG3498 manG3498. And He 73placedG5087 His rightG1188 handG1188 on me, sayingG3004, “74Do not be afraidG5399; 75I amG1510 the firstG4413 and the lastG2078, 18and the 76livingG2198 One; and I 7778was deadG3498, and beholdG2400, I amG1510 aliveG2198 forevermoreG165, and I haveG2192 79the keysG2807 of deathG2288 and of HadesG86. 19ThereforeG3767 80writeG1125 81the things whichG3739 you have seenG3708, and the things whichG3739 are, and the things whichG3739 will takeG1096 placeG1096 82afterG3326 theseG3778 thingsG3778. 20As for the 83mysteryG3466 of the 84sevenG2033 starsG792 whichG3739 you sawG3708 in My rightG1188 handG1188, and the 85sevenG2033 goldenG5552 lampstandsG3087: the 86sevenG2033 starsG792 are the angelsG32 of 87the sevenG2033 churchesG1577, and the sevenG2033 88lampstandsG3087 are the sevenG2033 churchesG1577.
