Mark 16
The Resurrection
11When the SabbathG4521 was overG1230, 2MaryG3137 MagdaleneG3094, and MaryG3137 the mother of 3JamesG2385, and SalomeG4539, 4boughtG59 spicesG759, soG2443 that they might comeG2064 and anointG218 Him. 2VeryG3029 earlyG4404 on the firstG1520 day of the weekG4521, they cameG2064 to the tombG3418 when the sunG2246 had risenG393. 3They were sayingG3004 to oneG1438 anotherG1438, “WhoG5101 will rollG617 awayG617 5the stoneG3037 for us from the entranceG2374 of the tombG3419?” 4LookingG308 up, they sawG2334 that the stoneG3037 had been rolledG352 awayG352, 6althoughG1063 it was extremelyG4970 largeG3173. 57EnteringG1525 the tombG3419, they sawG3708 a youngG3495 manG3495 sittingG2521 at the rightG1188, wearingG4016 a whiteG3022 robeG4749; and they 8were amazedG1568. 6And he saidG3004 to them, “9Do not be amazedG1568; you are lookingG2212 for JesusG2424 the 10NazareneG3479, who has been crucifiedG4717. 11He has risenG1453; He is not hereG5602; beholdG2396, here is the placeG5117 whereG3699 they laidG5087 Him. 7But goG5217, tellG3004 His disciplesG3101 and PeterG4074, ‘12He is goingG4254 aheadG4254 of you to GalileeG1056; thereG1563 you will seeG3708 Him, justG2531 as He toldG3004 you.’” 8They wentG1831 out and fledG5343 from the tombG3419, for tremblingG5156 and astonishmentG1611 had grippedG2192 them; and they saidG3004 nothingG3762 to anyoneG3762, for they were afraidG5399.
9[13NowG1161 after He had risenG450 earlyG4404 on the firstG4413 day of the weekG4521, He firstG4413 appearedG5316 to 14MaryG3137 MagdaleneG3094, from whomG3739 He had castG1544 out sevenG2033 demonsG1140. 1015She wentG4198 and reportedG518 to thoseG3588 who had beenG1096 with Him, while they were mourningG3996 and weepingG2799. 11When they heardG191 that He was aliveG2198 and had been seenG2300 by her, 16they refusedG569 to believeG569 it.
12AfterG3326 that, 17He appearedG5319 in a differentG2087 formG3444 18to twoG1417 of them while they were walkingG4043 along on their wayG4198 to the countryG68. 13They wentG565 awayG565 and reportedG518 it to the othersG3062, but they 19did not believeG4100 them eitherG3761.
The Disciples Commissioned
14AfterwardG5305 20He appearedG5319 21to the elevenG1733 themselvesG846 as they were recliningG345 at the table; and He reproachedG3679 them for their 22unbeliefG570 and hardnessG4641 of heartG4641, becauseG3754 they had not believedG4100 thoseG3588 who had seenG2300 Him after He had risenG1453. 15And He saidG3004 to them, “23GoG4198 into allG537 the worldG2889 and preachG2784 the gospelG2098 to allG3956 creationG2937. 1624He who has believedG4100 and has been baptizedG907 shall be savedG4982; but he who has disbelievedG569 shall be condemnedG2632. 17TheseG3778 25signsG4592 will accompanyG3877 thoseG3588 who have believedG4100: 26in My nameG3686 they will castG1544 out demonsG1140, they will 27speakG2980 with newG2537 tonguesG1100; 18they will 28pickG142 up serpentsG3789, and ifG2579 they drinkG4095 anyG5100 deadlyG2286 poison, it will not hurtG984 them; they will 29layG2007 handsG5495 on the sickG732, and they will recoverG2192G2573.”
19SoG3767 thenG3767, when the LordG2962 JesusG2424 had 30spokenG2980 to them, He 31was receivedG353 up into heavenG3772 and 32satG2523 downG2523 at the rightG1188 handG1188 of GodG2316. 20And they wentG1831 out and preachedG2784 everywhereG3837, while the LordG2962 workedG4903 with them, and confirmedG950 the wordG3056 by the 33signsG4592 that followedG1872.]
[34And they promptly reported all these instructions to Peter and his companions. And afterG3326 that, Jesus Himself sent out through them from east to west the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation.]
