Mark 16
The Resurrection
11When the SabbathG4521 was overG1230, 2MaryG3137 MagdaleneG3094, MaryG3137 the mother of 3JamesG2385, and SalomeG4539 4boughtG59 spicesG759 soG2443 thatG2443 they might comeG2064 and anointG218 Him. 2And veryG3029 earlyG4404 on the firstG1520 day of the weekG4521, they cameG2064 to the tombG3418 when the sunG2246 had risenG393. 3They were sayingG3004 to oneG1438 anotherG1438, “WhoG5101 will rollG617 awayG617 5the stoneG3037 from the entranceG2374 of the tombG3419 for us?” 4And lookingG308 upG308, they noticedG2334 that the stoneG3037 had been rolledG352 awayG352; 6forG1063 it was extremelyG4970 largeG3173. 5And 7enteringG1525 the tombG3419, they sawG3708 a youngG3495 manG3495 sittingG2521 at the rightG1188, wearingG4016 a whiteG3022 robeG4749; and they 8were amazedG1568. 6But he saidG3004 to them, “9Do not be amazedG1568; you are lookingG2212 forG2212 JesusG2424 the 10NazareneG3479, who has been crucifiedG4717. 11He has risenG1453; He is not hereG5602; seeG2396, here is the placeG5117 whereG3699 they laidG5087 Him. 7But goG5217, tellG3004 His disciplesG3101 and PeterG4074, ‘12He is goingG4254 aheadG4254 of you to GalileeG1056; thereG1563 you will seeG3708 Him, justG2531 asG2531 He toldG3004 you.’” 8And they wentG1831 outG1831 and fledG5343 from the tombG3419, for tremblingG5156 and astonishmentG1611 had grippedG2192 them; and they saidG3004 nothingG3762 to anyoneG3762, for they wereG5399 afraidG5399.
9[[13NowG1161 after He had risenG450 earlyG4404 on the firstG4413 day of the weekG4521, He firstG4413 appearedG5316 to 14MaryG3137 MagdaleneG3094, from whomG3739 He had castG1544 outG1544 sevenG2033 demonsG1140. 1015She wentG4198 and reportedG518 to thoseG3588 who had beenG1096 with Him, while they were mourningG3996 and weepingG2799. 11And when they heardG191 that He wasG2198 aliveG2198 and had been seenG2300 by her, 16they refusedG569 toG569 believeG569 it.
12NowG1161 afterG3326 that, 17He appearedG5319 in a differentG2087 formG3444 18to twoG1417 of them while they were walkingG4043 along onG4198 their wayG4198 to the countryG68. 13And they wentG565 awayG565 and reportedG518 it to the restG3062, but they 19did not believeG4100 them, eitherG3761.
The Disciples Commissioned
14LaterG5305 20He appearedG5319 21to the elevenG1733 disciples themselvesG846 as they were recliningG345 at the table; and He reprimandedG3679 them for their 22unbeliefG570 and hardnessG4641 ofG4641 heartG4641, becauseG3754 they had not believedG4100 thoseG3588 who had seenG2300 Him after He had risenG1453 from the dead. 15And He saidG3004 to them, “23GoG4198 into allG537 the worldG2889 and preachG2784 the gospelG2098 to allG3956 creationG2937. 1624The one who has believedG4100 and has been baptizedG907 will be savedG4982; but the one who has notG569 believedG569 will be condemnedG2632. 17TheseG3778 signsG4592 will accompanyG3877 thoseG3588 who have believedG4100: 25in My nameG3686 they will castG1544 outG1544 demonsG1140, they will 26speakG2980 with newG2537 tonguesG1100; 18they will 27pickG142 upG142 serpentsG3789, and ifG2579 they drinkG4095 anyG5100 deadlyG2286 poison, it will not harmG984 them; they will 28layG2007 handsG5495 on the sickG732, and they will recoverG2192G2573.”
19SoG3767 thenG3767, when the LordG2962 JesusG2424 had 29spokenG2980 to them, He 30was receivedG353 upG353 into heavenG3772 and 31satG2523 downG2523 at the rightG1188 handG1188 of GodG2316. 20And they wentG1831 outG1831 and preachedG2784 everywhereG3837, while the LordG2962 workedG4903 withG4903 them, and confirmedG950 the wordG3056 by the signsG4592 that followedG1872.]]
[[32And they promptly reported all these instructions to Peter and his companions. And after that, Jesus Himself also sent out through them from east to west the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation.]]
