Jeremiah 24
1Jehovah shewed me, and behold, twoH8147 baskets of figsH8384, set before the templeH1964 of Jehovah, after that Nebuchadrezzar kingH4428 of BabylonH894 had carried away captive from JerusalemH3389, JeconiahH3204 the sonH1121 of JehoiakimH3079, the kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and the princesH8269 of JudahH3063, and the craftsmenH2796 and smithsH4525, and had broughtH935 them to BabylonH894. 2OneH259 basketH1731 had veryH3966 goodH2896 figsH8384, like the figsH8384 first ripe; and the other basketH1731 had veryH3966 badH7451 figsH8384, which could not be eatenH398 for badness. 3And Jehovah saidH559 unto me, What seest thou, JeremiahH3414? And I saidH559, FigsH8384: the goodH2896 figsH8384 veryH3966 goodH2896; and the badH7451 veryH3966 badH7451, which cannot be eatenH398 for badness. 4And the wordH1697 of Jehovah came unto me, sayingH559, 5ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, the 1GodH430 of IsraelH3478: Like these goodH2896 figsH8384, soH3651 will I regard for goodH2896 them that are carried awayH7971 captive of JudahH3063, whom I have sentH7971 out of this placeH4725 into the landH776 of the ChaldeansH3778; 6and I will setH7760 mine eyesH5869 upon them for goodH2896, and I will bringH7725 them again to this landH776; and I will buildH1129 them and not pull them downH2040, and I will plantH5193 them and not pluckH5428 them up. 7And I will giveH5414 them a heartH3820 to knowH3045 me, that I am Jehovah; and they shall beH1961 my peopleH5971, and I will beH1961 their 2GodH430: for they shall returnH7725 unto me with their whole heartH3820. 8And as the badH7451 figsH8384, which cannot be eatenH398 for badness, surely, thusH3541 saith Jehovah: SoH3651 will I makeH5414 ZedekiahH6667 the kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and his princesH8269, and the remnantH7611 of JerusalemH3389, that remainH3427 in this landH776, and them that dwellH3427 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 9And I will giveH5414 them over to be drivenH5080 hither and thither unto all the kingdomsH4467 of the earthH776 for evilH7451, to be a reproachH2781 and a proverbH4912, a tauntH8148 and a curseH7045, in all placesH4725 whither I shall driveH5080 them; 10and I will sendH7971 among them the swordH2719, the famineH7458, and the pestilenceH1698, until they be consumed from off the landH127 that I gaveH5414 unto them and to their fathersH1.
