Jeremiah 52

1ZedekiahH6667 was twenty-one yearsH8141 old when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 eleven yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389; and his mother's nameH8034 was HamutalH2537, daughterH1323 of JeremiahH3414 of LibnahH3841. 2And he did evilH7451 in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that JehoiakimH3079 had done. 3For, because the angerH639 of Jehovah wasH1961 against JerusalemH3389 and JudahH3063, until he had castH7993 them out from his presenceH6440, ZedekiahH6667 rebelledH4775 against the kingH4428 of BabylonH894. 4And it cameH935 to pass in the ninthH8671 yearH8141 of his reignH4427, in the tenthH6224 monthH2320, on the tenthH6224 of the monthH2320, [that] Nebuchadrezzar kingH4428 of BabylonH894 cameH935, he and all his armyH2428, against JerusalemH3389; and they encampedH2583 against it, and builtH1129 turrets against it roundH5439 about. 5And the cityH5892 was besieged until the eleventh yearH8141 of kingH4428 ZedekiahH6667. 6In the fourthH7243 monthH2320, on the ninth of the monthH2320, the famineH7458 prevailedH2388 in the cityH5892, and there wasH1961 no breadH3899 for the peopleH5971 of the landH776. 7And the cityH5892 was brokenH1234 into: and all the menH376 of warH4421 fledH1272, and wentH3318 forthH3318 out of the cityH5892 by nightH3915, by the wayH1870 of the gateH8179 between the twoH2346 wallsH2346, which was by the king's gardenH1588 (now the ChaldeansH3778 were near the cityH5892 roundH5439 about); and they wentH3318 the wayH1870 toward the plainH6160. 8And the armyH2428 of the ChaldeansH3778 pursuedH7291 after the kingH4428, and overtookH5381 ZedekiahH6667 in the plainsH6160 of JerichoH3405; and all his armyH2428 was scatteredH6327 from him. 9And they took the kingH4428, and broughtH5927 him up to the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, unto RiblahH7247 in the landH776 of HamathH2574, and he pronounced judgmentH4941 upon him. 10And the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 slaughteredH7819 the sonsH1121 of ZedekiahH6667 before his eyesH5869; and he slaughteredH7819 alsoH1571 all the princesH8269 of JudahH3063 in RiblahH7247. 11And he putH5414 out the eyesH5869 of ZedekiahH6667, and boundH631 him with chains of brass; and the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 carried him to BabylonH894, and putH5414 him in prison till the dayH3117 of his deathH4194. 12And in the fifthH2549 monthH2320, on the tenth of the monthH2320, which was in the nineteenth yearH8141 of Nebuchadrezzar kingH4428 of BabylonH894, Nebuzar-adan, captain of the body-guard, who stoodH5975 before the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, cameH935 unto JerusalemH3389; 13and he burnedH8313 the houseH1004 of Jehovah, and the king's houseH1004, and all the housesH1004 of JerusalemH3389; and every greatH1419 [man's] houseH1004 he burnedH8313 with fireH784. 14And all the armyH2428 of the ChaldeansH3778, that were with the captain of the body-guard, brokeH5422 down all the wallsH2346 of JerusalemH3389 roundH5439 about. 15And Nebuzar-adan the captain of the body-guard carried away captive of the poorest sort of the peopleH5971, and the restH3499 of the peopleH5971 that were leftH7604 in the cityH5892, and the deserters that had deserted to the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and the restH3499 of the multitude. 16But Nebuzar-adan the captain of the body-guard leftH7604 of the poor of the landH776 for vinedressersH3755 and for husbandmen. 17And the brazen pillarsH5982 that were in the houseH1004 of Jehovah, and the bases, and the brazen seaH3220 that was in the houseH1004 of Jehovah, the ChaldeansH3778 brokeH7665 up, and carriedH5375 all the brass thereof to BabylonH894. 18The potsH5518 also, and the shovelsH3257, and the knives, and the bowlsH4219, and the cups, and all the vesselsH3627 of brass wherewith they ministered, they tookH3947 awayH3947. 19And the basons and the censersH4289, and the bowlsH4219, and the potsH5518, and the candlesticks, and the cups, and the goblets, that which was of goldH2091 in goldH2091, and that which was of silverH3701 in silverH3701, the captain of the body-guard tookH3947 awayH3947. 20The twoH8147 pillarsH5982, the oneH259 seaH3220, and the twelve brazen oxenH1241 that formed the bases, which kingH4428 SolomonH8010 had madeH6213 for the houseH1004 of Jehovah: for the brass of all these vesselsH3627 there wasH1961 no weightH4948. 21And as to the pillarsH5982: the heightH6967 of oneH259 pillarH5982 was eighteen cubitsH520, and a lineH2339 of twelve cubitsH520 encompassed it; and the thicknessH5672 thereof was fourH702 fingersH676: it was hollowH5014. 22And the capitalH3805 upon it was brass, and the heightH6967 of the oneH259 capitalH3805 [was] fiveH2568 cubitsH520; and the networkH7639 and the pomegranatesH7416, upon the capitalH3805 roundH5439 about, all of brass; and similarly for the secondH8145 pillarH5982, and the pomegranatesH7416. 23And there wereH1961 ninety-six pomegranatesH7416 on the [four] sides; all the pomegranatesH7416 upon the networkH7639 wereH1961 a hundredH3967 roundH5439 about. 24And the captain of the body-guard tookH3947 SeraiahH8304 the chiefH7218 priestH3548, and ZephaniahH6846 the secondH4932 priestH3548, and the threeH7969 doorkeepers. 25And out of the cityH5892 he tookH3947 a eunuchH5631 that wasH1961 set over the menH376 of warH4421, and sevenH7651 menH376 of them that were in the king's presenceH6440, who were foundH4672 in the cityH5892, and the scribeH5608 of the captain of the hostH6635, who enrolled the peopleH5971 of the landH776. And sixtyH8346 menH376 of the peopleH5971 of the landH776 that were foundH4672 in the midstH8432 of the cityH5892. 26And Nebuzar-adan the captain of the body-guard tookH3947 them, and brought them to the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 to RiblahH7247; 27and the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 smote them, and putH4191 them to deathH4191 at RiblahH7247 in the landH776 of HamathH2574. Thus JudahH3063 was carried away captive out of his landH776. 28This is the peopleH5971 whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh yearH8141 threeH7969 thousandH505 and twenty-three JewsH3064; 29in the eighteenth yearH8141 of Nebuchadrezzar [he carried away captive] from JerusalemH3389 eightH8083 hundredH3967 and thirty-two personsH5315; 30in the twenty-thirdH6242 yearH8141 of Nebuchadrezzar, Nebuzar-adan the captain of the body-guard carried away captive of the JewsH3064 sevenH7651 hundredH3967 and forty-fiveH705 personsH5315: all the personsH5315 were fourH702 thousandH505 sixH8337 hundredH3967. 31And it came to pass in the thirty-seventh yearH8141 of the captivity of JehoiachinH3078 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, in the twelfth monthH2320, on the twenty-fifth of the monthH2320, [that] Evil-MerodachH192 kingH4428 of BabylonH894, in the yearH8141 that he began to reignH4438, liftedH5375 up the headH7218 of JehoiachinH3078 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and broughtH3318 him forthH3318 out of prison; 32and he spokeH1696 kindly unto him, and setH5414 his seatH3678 above the seatH3678 of the kingsH4428 that were with him in BabylonH894. 33And he changed his prison garmentsH899; and he ateH398 breadH3899 before him continuallyH8548 all the daysH3117 of his life; 34and his allowanceH737 was a continual allowanceH737 givenH5414 him by the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, every dayH3117 a portion until the dayH3117 of his deathH4194, all the daysH3117 of his life.
