Isaiah 8:17-22
17And I will waitH2442 for Jehovah, who hideth his faceH6440 from the houseH1004 of JacobH3290; and I will look for him. 18Behold, I and the childrenH3206 that Jehovah hath givenH5414 me are for signsH226 and for wondersH4159 in IsraelH3478, from Jehovah of hostsH6635, who dwelleth in mount ZionH6726. 19And when they shall sayH559 unto you, SeekH1875 unto the necromancers and unto the soothsayers, who chirp and who mutter, [sayH559,] Shall not a peopleH5971 seekH1875 unto their 1GodH430? [Will they go] for the living unto the deadH4191? 20To the lawH8451 and the testimonyH8584! If they speak not according to this wordH1697, for them there is no daybreak. 21And they shall passH5674 through it, hardH7185 pressed and hungryH7457; and it shall come to passH5674 when they are hungryH7457, they will fret themselves, and curseH7043 their kingH4428 and their 2GodH430, and will gaze upwardH4605: 22and they will look to the earthH776; and behold, troubleH6869 and darknessH2825, gloomH653 of anguish; and they shall be drivenH5080 into thick darknessH2825.
