Darby Bible
Isaiah 58:1-6
1Cry aloud, spare not, liftH7311 up thy voiceH6963 like a trumpetH7782, and declareH5046 unto my peopleH5971 their transgressionH6588, and to the houseH1004 of JacobH3290 their sinsH2403.
2Yet they seekH1875 me daily, and delightH2654 to know my waysH1870, as a nationH1471 that doeth righteousnessH6666, and hath not forsaken the ordinanceH4941 of their 1GodH430; they askH7592 of me the ordinancesH4941 of righteousnessH6666, they take delightH2654 in approaching to 2GodH430:
3— Wherefore have we fastedH6684, and thou seest not; have afflicted our soulH5315, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the dayH3117 of your fastH6685 ye findH4672 what pleaseth [you], and exact all your labours.
4Behold, ye have fastedH6684 for strifeH7379 and debate, and to smite with the fistH106 of wickednessH7562; ye do not at present fastH6684, to causeH7379 your voiceH6963 to be heardH8085 on highH4791.
5Is such the fastH6685 that I have chosenH977, a dayH3117 for a manH120 to afflictH6031 his soulH5315, — that he should bow downH3721 his headH7218 as a bulrushH100, and spreadH3331 sackclothH8242 and ashesH665 [under him]? Wilt thou callH7121 this a fastH6685, and a dayH3117 acceptable to Jehovah?
6Is not this the fastH6685 which I have chosenH977: to loose the bands of wickednessH7562, to undo the thongs of the yoke, and to sendH7971 forthH7971 freeH2670 the crushedH7533, and that ye break every yoke?
