Isaiah 5:1-10
I will singH7891 to my well-belovedH3039 a songH7892 of my beloved touching his vineyardH3754: My well-belovedH3039 had a vineyardH3754 upon a fruitful hill.
And he dug it, and gathered out the stonesH5619 thereof, and plantedH5193 it with the choicest vine; and he builtH1129 a towerH4026 in the midstH8432 of it, and alsoH1571 hewed out a winepressH3342 therein; and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, but it brought forth wild grapes.
And nowH6258, inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 and menH376 of JudahH3063, judgeH8199, I pray you, between me and my vineyardH3754.
What was there yetH5750 to do to my vineyardH3754 that I have not done in it? Wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes? —
And nowH6258, let me tell you what I am about to do to my vineyardH3754: I will take awayH5493 its hedgeH4881, and it shall beH1961 eaten up; I will breakH6555 down its wallH1447, and it shall beH1961 trodden under foot;
and I will makeH7896 it a waste — it shall not be prunedH2168 nor cultivated, but there shall comeH5927 up briars and thorns; and I will commandH6680 the cloudsH5645 that they rainH4306 no rainH4306 upon it.
For the vineyardH3754 of Jehovah of hostsH6635 is the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, and the menH376 of JudahH3063 the plant of his delightH8191: and he looked for justiceH4941, and behold, blood-shedding; for righteousnessH6666, and behold, a cryH6818.
WoeH1945 unto them that add houseH1004 to houseH1004, that join fieldH7704 to fieldH7704, until there is no more room, and that ye dwellH3427 yourselves aloneH905 in the midstH7130 of the landH776!
In mine earsH241 Jehovah of hostsH6635 [hath said], ManyH7227 housesH1004 shall assuredly becomeH1961 a desolationH8047, greatH1419 and excellent ones, without inhabitantH3427.
Yea, tenH6235 acres of vineyardH3754 shall yield oneH259 bathH1324, and a homer of seedH2233 shall yield an ephahH374.
