Darby Bible
Isaiah 38:14-19
14Like a swallow [or] a craneH5693, soH3651 did I chatter; I mourned as a doveH3123; mine eyesH5869 failed [with looking] upward: LordH136, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
15What shall I sayH559? He hath both spokenH1696 unto me, and himself hath done [it]. I shall go softly all my yearsH8141 in the bitternessH4751 of my soulH5315.
16LordH136, by these things [men] liveH2421, and in all these things is the lifeH2416 of my spiritH7307; and thou hast recovered me, and made me to liveH2421.
17Behold, instead of peaceH7965 I had bitternessH4751 upon bitternessH4751; but thou hast in love delivered my soulH5315 from the pitH7845 of destruction; for thou hast castH7993 all my sinsH2399 behind thy back.
18For not SheolH7585 shall praiseH1984 thee, nor deathH4194 celebrate thee; they that goH3381 down into the pitH953 do not hope for thy truthH571.
19The living, the living, he shall praiseH3034 thee, as I this dayH3117: the fatherH1 to the children shall makeH3045 knownH3045 thy truthH571.
