Darby Bible
Isaiah 31:1-5
1WoeH1945 to them that goH3381 down to EgyptH4714 for helpH5833, and depend on horsesH5483, and confide in chariotsH7393 because [they are] manyH7227, and in horsemenH6571 because they are veryH3966 strong; and who lookH8159 not unto the HolyH6918 OneH6918 of IsraelH3478, neither seekH1875 Jehovah!
2But he alsoH1571 is wiseH2450, and he bringeth evilH7451, and recalleth not his wordsH1697; and he will ariseH6965 against the houseH1004 of evildoers, and against the helpH5833 of workers of iniquity.
3And the Egyptians are menH120, and not 1GodH410, and their horsesH5483 fleshH1320, and not spiritH7307; and Jehovah shall stretchH5186 forth his handH3027, and he that helpeth shall stumbleH3782, and he that is helpedH5826 shall fallH5307, and they all shall perish togetherH3162.
4For thusH3541 hath Jehovah saidH559 unto me: Like as the lionH738 and the youngH3715 lionH738 growling over his preyH2964, when a multitudeH1995 of shepherdsH7462 is calledH7121 forth against him, is not afraid of their voiceH6963, nor giveth way before the multitudeH1995 of them; soH3651 will Jehovah of hostsH6635 comeH3381 down to warH6635 upon mount ZionH6726, and on the hillH2022 thereof.
5As birdsH6833 with outstretched wings, soH3651 will Jehovah of hostsH6635 cover JerusalemH3389; covering, he will also deliverH5337, passing over, he will rescueH5337 [it].
