Darby Bible
Isaiah 29:9-14
9Be astoundedH8539 and astonishedH8539, blindH8173 yourselves and be blindH8173! They are drunken, but not with wineH3196; they staggerH5128, but not with strongH7941 drinkH7941.
10For Jehovah hath poured out upon you a spiritH7307 of deepH8639 sleepH8639, and hath closed your eyesH5869; the prophetsH5030 and your chiefsH7218, the seersH2374, hath he coveredH3680.
11And the whole visionH2380 is becomeH1961 unto you as the wordsH1697 of a bookH5612 that is sealedH2856, which they giveH5414 to oneH2088 that can readH7121, sayingH559, ReadH7121 this, I pray thee; and he saith, I cannot, for it is sealedH2856.
12And they giveH5414 the bookH5612 to him that cannot readH7121, sayingH559, ReadH7121 this, I pray thee; and he saith, I cannot readH7121.
13And the LordH136 saith, Forasmuch as this peopleH5971 drawH5066 near with their mouthH6310, and honour me with their lipsH8193, but their heartH3820 is removedH7368 farH7368 from me, and their fearH3373 of me is a commandmentH4687 taughtH3925 of menH376;
14thereforeH3651, behold, I will proceed to do marvellously with this peopleH5971, to do marvellously, even with wonder, and the wisdomH2451 of their wiseH2450 [men] shall perishH6, and the understandingH995 of their intelligent ones shall be hidH5641.
