Matthew 22:22-46 23 On that day ἡμέρᾳ hēmera G2250 came G4334 to him Sadducees Σαδδουκαῖοι Saddoukaioi G4523 , who say λέγοντες legontes G3004 there is G1510 no resurrection ἀνάστασιν anastasin G386 ; and they demanded of him , 24 saying λέγοντες· legontes G3004 , Teacher διδάσκαλε, didaskale G1320 , Moses Μωϋσῆς Mōusēs G3475 said G3004 , If any one G5100 die ἀποθάνῃ apothanē G599 , not having children G5043 , his brother ἀδελφὸς adelphos G80 shall marry his wife γυναῖκα gunaika G1135 and shall raise ἀναστήσει anastēsei G450 up seed G4690 to his brother ἀδελφῷ adelphō G80 . 28 In the resurrection ἀναστάσει anastasei G386 therefore οὖν oun G3767 of which of the seven ἑπτὰ hepta G2033 shall she be ἔσται estai G1510 wife γυνή; gunē G1135 , for all had her ? 29 And Jesus Ἰησοῦς Iēsous G2424 answering Ἀποκριθεὶς Apokritheis G611 said G3004 to them , Ye err, not knowing the scriptures G1124 nor the power δύναμιν dunamin G1411 of God θεοῦ. theou G2316 . 30 For in the resurrection ἀναστάσει anastasei G386 they neither marry γαμοῦσιν gamousin G1060 nor are G1510 given in marriage , but are G1510 as angels ἄγγελοι angeloi G32 of God G2316 in heaven οὐρανῷ ouranō G3772 . 31 But concerning περὶ peri G4012 the resurrection ἀναστάσεως anastaseōs G386 of the dead νεκρῶν nekrōn G3498 , have ye not read ἀνέγνωτε anegnōte G314 what was spoken to you by God θεοῦ theou G2316 , saying λέγοντος· legontos G3004 , 33 And when the crowds ὄχλοι ochloi G3793 heard G191 [ it ] they were astonished ἐξεπλήσσοντο exeplēssonto G1605 at his doctrine. 34 But the Pharisees Φαρισαῖοι Pharisaioi G5330 , having heard G191 that he had put the Sadducees Σαδδουκαίους Saddoukaious G4523 to silence , were gathered συνήχθησαν sunēchthēsan G4863 together G4863 . 35 And one εἷς heis G1520 of them , a lawyer νομικὸς nomikos G3544 , demanded, tempting him , and saying, 37 And he said ἔφη ephē G5346 to him , Thou shalt love ἀγαπήσεις agapēseis G25 [ the ] Lord κύριον kurion G2962 thy God θεόν theon G2316 with all thy heart καρδίᾳ kardia G2588 , and with all thy soul ψυχῇ psuchēa G5590 , and with all thy understanding G1271 . 39 And [ the ] second δευτέρα deutera G1208 is like it , Thou shalt love ἀγαπήσεις agapēseis G25 thy neighbour as thyself. 41 And the Pharisees Φαρισαίων Pharisaiōn G5330 being gathered G4863 together G4863 , Jesus Ἰησοῦς Iēsous G2424 demanded of them , 46 And no one οὐδεὶς oudeis G3762 was able ἐδύνατο edunato G1410 to answer ἀποκριθῆναι apokrithēnai G611 him a word λόγον logon G3056 , nor did any one G3762 dare G5111 from that day ἡμέρας hēmeras G2250 to question ἐπερωτῆσαι eperōtēsai G1905 him any more .
