Mark 10
1And he aroseG450 from thence, and cometh into the borders of Judæa and beyond the JordanG2446: and multitudesG3793 comeG2064 together unto him againG3825; and, as he was wont, he taughtG1321 them againG3825.
2And there cameG4334 unto him PhariseesG5330, and askedG1905 him, Is it lawfulG1832 for a manG435 to put awayG630 his wifeG1135? trying him. 3And he answeredG611 and saidG3004 unto them, What did MosesG3475 commandG1781 you? 4And they saidG3004, MosesG3475 suffered to writeG1125 a bill of divorcement, and to put her awayG630. 5But JesusG2424 saidG3004 unto them, For your hardnessG4641 of heartG4641 he wroteG1125 you this commandmentG1785. 6But from the beginning of the creationG2937, MaleG730 and femaleG2338 madeG4160 he them. 7For this cause shall a manG444 leaveG2641 his fatherG3962 and motherG3384, and shall cleave to his wifeG1135; 8and the twoG1417 shall become oneG1520 fleshG4561: so that they areG1510 no more twoG1417, but oneG1520 fleshG4561. 9What thereforeG3767 GodG2316 hath joined togetherG4801, let not manG444 put asunder. 10And in the houseG3614 the disciplesG3101 askedG1905 him againG3825 of this matter. 11And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put awayG630 his wifeG1135, and marryG1060 another, committeth adulteryG3429 against her: 12and if she herself shall put awayG630 her husbandG435, and marryG1060 another, she committeth adulteryG3429.
13And they were bringingG4374 unto him little childrenG3813, that he should touchG681 them: and the disciplesG3101 rebukedG2008 them. 14But when JesusG2424 sawG3708 it, he wasG1510 moved with indignation, and saidG3004 unto them, Suffer the little childrenG3813 to comeG2064 unto me; forbidG2967 them not: for to suchG5108 belongeth the kingdomG932 of GodG2316. 15Verily I sayG3004 unto you, Whosoever shall not receiveG1209 the kingdomG932 of GodG2316 as a little childG3813, he shall in no wise enterG1525 therein. 16And he took them in his arms, and blessedG2127 them, layingG5087 his handsG5495 upon them.
17And as he was goingG1607 forth into the wayG3598, there ranG4370 oneG1520 to him, and kneeled to him, and askedG1905 him, GoodG18 TeacherG1320, what shall I do that I may inheritG2816 eternalG166 lifeG2222? 18And JesusG2424 saidG3004 unto him, WhyG5101 callest thou me goodG18? noneG3762 is goodG18 save oneG1520, even GodG2316. 19Thou knowest the commandmentsG1785, Do not kill, Do not commitG3431 adulteryG3431, Do not stealG2813, Do not bearG5576 falseG5576 witnessG5576, Do not defraudG650, HonorG5091 thy fatherG3962 and motherG3384. 20And he saidG5346 unto him, TeacherG1320, all these thingsG3778 have I observed from my youthG3503. 21And JesusG2424 lookingG1689 upon him lovedG25 him, and saidG3004 unto him, OneG1520 thingG1520 thou lackest: goG5217, sellG4453 whatsoever thou hast, and giveG1325 to the poorG4434, and thou shalt have treasureG2344 in heavenG3772: and comeG1204, followG190 me. 22But his countenance fell at the sayingG3056, and he wentG565 awayG565 sorrowfulG3076: for he wasG1510 oneG3588 that had greatG4183 possessions.
23And JesusG2424 lookedG4017 round about, and saith unto his disciplesG3101, HowG4459 hardly shall they that have riches enterG1525 into the kingdomG932 of GodG2316! 24And the disciplesG3101 wereG1510 amazed at his wordsG3056. But JesusG2424 answereth againG3825, and saith unto them, ChildrenG5043, howG4459 hard isG1510 it for them that trust in riches to enterG1525 into the kingdomG932 of GodG2316! 25It isG1510 easier for a camelG2574 to goG1525 through a needle’s eye, than for a richG4145 manG4145 to enterG1525 into the kingdomG932 of GodG2316. 26And they were astonishedG1605 exceedingly, sayingG3004 unto him, Then who can be savedG4982? 27JesusG2424 lookingG1689 upon them saith, With menG444 it is impossibleG102, but not with GodG2316: for all thingsG3956 are possibleG1415 with GodG2316. 28PeterG4074 beganG757 to sayG3004 unto him, Lo, we have leftG863 all, and have followedG190 thee. 29JesusG2424 saidG3004, Verily I sayG3004 unto you, There isG1510 no man that hath leftG863 houseG3614, or brethren, or sistersG79, or motherG3384, or fatherG3962, or childrenG5043, or lands, for my sakeG1752, and for the gospel’sG2098 sakeG1752, 30but he shall receiveG2983 a hundredfold nowG3568 in this timeG2540, housesG3614, and brethren, and sistersG79, and mothersG3384, and childrenG5043, and lands, with persecutionsG1375; and in the world to comeG2064 eternalG166 lifeG2222. 31But manyG4183 that areG1510 firstG4413 shall beG1510 lastG2078; and the lastG2078 firstG4413.
32And they wereG1510 on the wayG3598, going up to JerusalemG2414; and JesusG2424 wasG1510 going before them: and they wereG1510 amazed; and they that followedG190 wereG1510 afraidG5399. And he tookG3880 againG3825 the twelveG1427, and beganG757 to tellG3004 them the things that wereG1510 to happen unto him, 33saying, BeholdG2400, we goG305 up to JerusalemG2414; and the SonG5207 of manG444 shall be deliveredG3860 unto the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the scribesG1122; and they shall condemnG2632 him to deathG2288, and shall deliverG3860 him unto the GentilesG1484: 34and they shall mockG1702 him, and shall spitG1716 upon him, and shall scourge him, and shall killG615 him; and after threeG5140 daysG2250 he shall riseG450 againG450.
35And there come near unto him JamesG2385 and JohnG2491, the sonsG5207 of ZebedeeG2199, sayingG3004 unto him, TeacherG1320, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall askG154 of thee. 36And he saidG3004 unto them, What would ye that I should do for you? 37And they saidG3004 unto him, GrantG1325 unto us that we may sitG2523, oneG1520 on thy rightG1188 handG1188, and oneG1520 on thy left handG1188, in thy gloryG1391. 38But JesusG2424 saidG3004 unto them, Ye know not what ye askG154. Are ye ableG1410 to drinkG4095 the cupG4221 that I drinkG4095? or to be baptizedG907 with the baptismG908 that I am baptizedG907 with? 39And they saidG3004 unto him, We are ableG1410. And JesusG2424 saidG3004 unto them, The cupG4221 that I drinkG4095 ye shall drinkG4095; and with the baptismG908 that I am baptizedG907 withal shall ye be baptizedG907: 40but to sitG2523 on my rightG1188 handG1188 or on my left handG1188 isG1510 not mine to giveG1325; but it isG1510 for them for whom it hath beenG1510 preparedG2090. 41And when the tenG1176 heardG191 it, they beganG757 to be moved with indignation concerningG4012 JamesG2385 and JohnG2491. 42And JesusG2424 called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they who are accounted to ruleG757 over the GentilesG1484 lord it over them; and their greatG3173 ones exerciseG2715 authorityG2715 over them. 43But it isG1510 not soG3779 among you: but whosoever would becomeG1096 greatG3173 among you, shall beG1510 your ministerG1249; 44and whosoever would beG1510 firstG4413 among you, shall beG1510 servantG1401 of all. 45For the SonG5207 of manG444 alsoG2532 cameG2064 not to be ministeredG1247 unto, but to ministerG1247, and to giveG1325 his lifeG5590 a ransomG3083 for manyG4183.
46And they comeG2064 to JerichoG2410: and as he went out from JerichoG2410, with his disciplesG3101 and a great multitudeG3793, the sonG5207 of Timæus, Bartimæus, a blindG5185 beggar, was sittingG2521 by the wayG3598 side. 47And when he heardG191 that it wasG1510 JesusG2424 the NazareneG3479, he beganG757 to cryG2896 out, and sayG3004, JesusG2424, thou sonG5207 of DavidG1138, have mercyG1653 on me. 48And manyG4183 rebukedG2008 him, that he should hold his peace: but he criedG2896 out the moreG3123 a greatG4183 deal, Thou sonG5207 of DavidG1138, have mercyG1653 on me. 49And JesusG2424 stoodG2476 still, and saidG3004, Call ye him. And they call the blindG5185 manG5185, sayingG3004 unto him, Be of good cheer: riseG1453, he calleth thee. 50And he, casting awayG577 his garmentG2440, sprang up, and cameG2064 to JesusG2424. 51And JesusG2424 answeredG611 him, and saidG3004, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? And the blindG5185 manG5185 saidG3004 unto him, RabboniG4462, that I may receiveG308 my sightG308. 52And JesusG2424 saidG3004 unto him, GoG5217 thy wayG3598; thy faithG4102 hath made thee whole. And straightway he receivedG308 his sightG308, and followedG190 him in the wayG3598.
