Jude 1
American Standard Version
1Jude, a servantG1401 of JesusG2424 ChristG5547, and brotherG80 of JamesG2385, to them that are calledG2822, belovedG25 in GodG2316 the FatherG3962, and keptG5083 for JesusG2424 ChristG5547: 2MercyG1656 unto you and peaceG1515 and loveG26 be multipliedG4129.
3BelovedG27, while I was giving all diligenceG4710 to writeG1125 unto you of our commonG2839 salvationG4991, I was constrained to writeG1125 unto you exhortingG3870 you to contend earnestly for the faithG4102 which was onceG530 for all deliveredG3860 unto the saintsG40. 4For there are certainG5100 menG444 crept in privily, evenG2532 they who were of old written of beforehand unto this condemnationG2917, ungodlyG765 menG444, turning the graceG5485 of our GodG2316 into lasciviousness, and denyingG720 our onlyG3441 MasterG2962 and LordG2962, JesusG2424 ChristG5547.
5NowG1161 I desire to put you in remembranceG5279, though ye know all thingsG3956 onceG530 for all, that the LordG2962, having savedG4982 a peopleG2992 out of the landG1093 of EgyptG125, afterward destroyedG622 them that believedG4100 not. 6And angelsG32 that keptG5083 not their ownG2398 principality, but left their proper habitation, he hath keptG5083 in everlasting bonds under darknessG2217 unto the judgmentG2920 of the greatG3173 dayG2250. 7EvenG2532 as SodomG4670 and GomorrahG1116, and the citiesG4172 about them, having in like manner with these given themselves over to fornication and goneG565 after strange fleshG4561, are setG4295 forth as an example, suffering the punishment of eternalG166 fireG4442. 8Yet in like manner these alsoG2532 in their dreamings defile the fleshG4561, and setG114 at nought dominion, and rail at dignities. 9But MichaelG3413 the archangelG743, whenG3753 contending with the devilG1228 he disputed about the bodyG4983 of MosesG3475, durst not bring against him a railing judgmentG2920, but saidG3004, The LordG2962 rebukeG2008 thee. 10But these rail at whatsoever thingsG3778 they know not: and what they understand naturally, like the creaturesG2226 without reason, in these thingsG3778 are they destroyed. 11WoeG3759 unto them! for they wentG4198 in the wayG3598 of CainG2535, and ran riotously in the errorG4106 of BalaamG903 for hire, and perishedG622 in the gainsaying of Korah. 12These areG1510 they who areG1510 hidden rocks in your love-feasts when they feastG4910 with you, shepherds that without fearG870 feed themselves; cloudsG3507 without waterG504, carried along by windsG417; autumn treesG1186 without fruit, twiceG1364 deadG599, plucked up by the roots; 13wildG66 waves of the seaG2281, foaming out their ownG1438 shameG152; wandering starsG792, for whom the blackness of darknessG4655 hath been reserved for ever. 14And to these alsoG2532 EnochG1802, the seventhG1442 from AdamG76, prophesiedG4395, sayingG3004, BeholdG2400, the LordG2962 cameG2064 with ten thousands of his holyG40 onesG40, 15to execute judgmentG2920 upon all, and to convictG1651 all the ungodlyG765 of all their worksG2041 of ungodlinessG763 which they have ungodlyG765 wrought, and of all the hardG4642 thingsG3956 which ungodlyG765 sinnersG268 have spokenG2980 against him. 16These areG1510 murmurers, complainers, walkingG4198 after their lustsG1939 (and their mouthG4750 speaketh great swelling words), showing respect of persons for the sake of advantage.
17But ye, belovedG27, rememberG3403 ye the words which have been spoken before by the apostlesG652 of our LordG2962 JesusG2424 ChristG5547; 18that they saidG3004 to you, In the lastG2078 timeG5550 there shall beG1510 mockers, walkingG4198 after their ownG1438 ungodly lustsG1939. 19These areG1510 they who make separations, sensual, having not the SpiritG4151. 20But ye, belovedG27, buildingG2026 up yourselves on your most holyG40 faithG4102, prayingG4336 in the HolyG40 SpiritG4151, 21keepG5083 yourselves in the loveG26 of GodG2316, looking for the mercyG1656 of our LordG2962 JesusG2424 ChristG5547 unto eternalG166 lifeG2222. 22And on some have mercy, who are in doubtG1252; 23and some saveG4982, snatchingG726 them out of the fireG4442; and on some have mercyG1653 with fearG5401; hatingG3404 evenG2532 the garment spotted by the fleshG4561.
24NowG1161 unto him that is ableG1410 to guardG5442 you from stumbling, and to setG2476 you before the presence of his gloryG1391 without blemish in exceeding joy, 25to the onlyG3441 GodG2316 our Saviour, through JesusG2424 ChristG5547 our LordG2962, be gloryG1391, majestyG3172, dominionG2904 and powerG1849, before all time, and nowG3568, and for evermore. AmenG281.
