Luke 17
American Standard Version
1And he saidG3004 unto his disciplesG3101, It isG1510 impossible but that occasions of stumbling should comeG2064; but woeG3759 unto him, through whom they comeG2064! 2It were well for him if a millstone were hanged about his neckG5137, and he were thrown into the seaG2281, rather than that he should causeG4624 oneG1520 of these littleG3398 onesG3398 to stumbleG4624. 3TakeG4337 heed to yourselves: if thy brotherG80 sinG264, rebukeG2008 him; and if he repentG3340, forgiveG863 him. 4And if he sinG264 against thee sevenG2034 times in the dayG2250, and sevenG2034 times turnG1994 again to thee, sayingG3004, I repentG3340; thou shalt forgiveG863 him.
5And the apostlesG652 saidG3004 unto the LordG2962, Increase our faithG4102. 6And the LordG2962 saidG3004, If ye had faithG4102 as a grainG2848 of mustardG4615 seed, ye would sayG3004 unto this sycamine tree, Be thou rooted up, and be thou plantedG5452 in the seaG2281; and it would obeyG5219 you. 7But who is there of you, having a servantG1401 plowingG722 or keeping sheep, that will sayG3004 unto him, when he is comeG1525 in from the fieldG68, ComeG1525 straightway and sit down to meat; 8and will not ratherG235 sayG3004 unto him, MakeG2090 readyG2090 wherewith I may sup, and girdG4024 thyself, and serveG1247 me, till I have eatenG2068 and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eatG2068 and drinkG4095? 9Doth he thankG5485 the servantG1401 because he did the things that were commandedG1299? 10EvenG2532 so ye alsoG2532, whenG3752 ye shall have done all the thingsG3956 that areG1510 commandedG1299 you, sayG3004, We areG1510 unprofitable servantsG1401; we have done that which it wasG1510 our duty to do.
11And it cameG1096 to passG1330, as they were on the way to JerusalemG2419, that he was passingG1330 along the borders of SamariaG4540 and GalileeG1056. 12And as he enteredG1525 into a certainG5100 villageG2968, there met him tenG1176 menG435 that were lepersG3015, who stoodG2476 afar off: 13and they liftedG142 up their voicesG5456, sayingG3004, JesusG2424, MasterG1988, have mercyG1653 on us. 14And when he sawG3708 them, he saidG3004 unto them, GoG4198 and showG1925 yourselves unto the priestsG2409. And it cameG1096 to passG1096, as they wentG4198, they were cleansedG2511. 15And oneG1520 of them, when he sawG3708 that he was healedG2390, turnedG5290 backG5290, with a loudG3173 voiceG5456 glorifyingG1392 GodG2316; 16and he fellG4098 upon his faceG4383 at his feetG4228, givingG2168 him thanksG2168: and he wasG1510 a SamaritanG4541. 17And JesusG2424 answeringG611 saidG3004, Were not the tenG1176 cleansedG2511? but whereG4226 are the nineG1767? 18Were there none foundG2147 that returnedG5290 to giveG1325 gloryG1391 to GodG2316, save this stranger? 19And he saidG3004 unto him, AriseG450, and goG4198 thy way: thy faithG4102 hath made thee whole.
20And being askedG1905 by the PhariseesG5330, when the kingdomG932 of GodG2316 cometh, he answeredG611 them and saidG3004, The kingdomG932 of GodG2316 cometh not with observation: 21neither shall they sayG3004, Lo, hereG5602! or, There! for lo, the kingdomG932 of GodG2316 isG1510 within you.
22And he saidG3004 unto the disciplesG3101, The daysG2250 will comeG2064, whenG3753 ye shall desireG1937 to seeG3708 oneG1520 of the daysG2250 of the SonG5207 of manG444, and ye shall not seeG3708 it. 23And they shall sayG3004 to you, Lo, there! Lo, hereG5602! goG565 not awayG565, nor follow after them: 24for as the lightningG796, when it lighteneth out of the one part under the heavenG3772, shineth unto the other part under heavenG3772; soG3779 shall the SonG5207 of manG444 beG1510 in his dayG2250. 25But firstG4413 must he sufferG3958 manyG4183 thingsG3778 and be rejectedG593 of this generationG1074. 26And as it cameG1096 to passG1096 in the daysG2250 of NoahG3575, evenG2532 so shall it beG1510 alsoG2532 in the daysG2250 of the SonG5207 of manG444. 27They ateG2068, they drankG4095, they marriedG1060, they were given in marriage, until the dayG2250 that NoahG3575 enteredG1525 into the arkG2787, and the floodG2627 cameG2064, and destroyedG622 them all. 28LikewiseG3668 even as it cameG1096 to passG1096 in the daysG2250 of LotG3091; they ateG2068, they drankG4095, they boughtG59, they soldG4453, they plantedG5452, they builded; 29but in the dayG2250 that LotG3091 wentG1831 out from SodomG4670 it rainedG1026 fireG4442 and brimstoneG2303 from heavenG3772, and destroyedG622 them all: 30after the sameG846 manner shall it beG1510 in the dayG2250 that the SonG5207 of manG444 isG1510 revealedG601. 31In that dayG2250, he that shall beG1510 on the housetopG1430, and his goodsG4632 in the houseG3614, let him not goG2597 down to takeG142 them awayG142: and let him that isG1510 in the fieldG68 likewiseG3668 not returnG1994 backG1994. 32RememberG3421 Lot’s wifeG1135. 33Whosoever shall seekG2212 to gain his lifeG5590 shall loseG622 it: but whosoever shall loseG622 his lifeG5590 shall preserve it. 34I sayG3004 unto you, In that nightG3571 there shall beG1510 twoG1417 menG3778 on oneG1520 bedG2825; the oneG1520 shall beG1510 takenG3880, and the otherG2087 shall beG1510 leftG863. 35There shall beG1510 twoG1417 women grindingG229 together; the oneG1520 shall beG1510 takenG3880, and the otherG2087 shall beG1510 leftG863. 361 37And they answeringG611 sayG3004 unto him, WhereG3699, LordG2962? And he saidG3004 unto them, WhereG3699 the bodyG4983 is, thither will the eagles alsoG2532 be gatheredG1996 togetherG1996.
