Jeremiah 48:24-41
and upon Kerijoth, and upon BozrahH1224, and upon all the citiesH5892 of the landH776 of MoabH4124, farH7350 and near.
The hornH7161 of MoabH4124 is cutH1438 off, and his armH2220 is brokenH7665, saith Jehovah.
MakeH1431 him drunken, for he magnifiedH1431 himself against Jehovah; and MoabH4124 shall wallow in his vomitH6892, and he alsoH1571 shall beH1961 in derision.
For wasH1961 not IsraelH3478 a derision unto thee? WasH1961 he foundH4672 among thievesH1590, that as oft as thou didst speak of him, thou didst shake the head?
LeaveH5800 the citiesH5892, and dwellH3427 in the rocksH5553, ye inhabitantsH3427 of MoabH4124, and beH1961 like the doveH3123, that maketh her nest in the sidesH5676 of the cave's mouthH6310.
We have heardH8085 of the arrogance of MoabH4124, — [he is] veryH3966 proudH1343; — his loftiness, and his arrogance, and his prideH1346, and the haughtinessH7312 of his heartH3820.
I knowH3045 his wrathH5678, saith Jehovah; his pratings are vain: they do not as [they say].
ThereforeH3651 will I howl for MoabH4124, and I will cryH2199 out for all MoabH4124: for the menH376 of Kir-heres shall there be moaning.
O vineH1612 of SibmahH7643, I will weepH1058 for thee with more than the weepingH1065 of Jaazer: thy shoots passedH5674 over the seaH3220, they reachedH5060 to the seaH3220 of Jaazer. The spoiler is fallenH5307 upon thy summerH7019 fruits and upon thy vintage.
And joyH8057 and gladnessH8057 is taken away from the fruitful field and from the landH776 of MoabH4124; and I have caused wineH3196 to fail from the winepressesH3342: they shall no more treadH1869 with shoutingH1959; the shoutingH1959 shall be no shoutingH1959.
Because of the cryH2201 from HeshbonH2809, unto Elaleh, unto JahazH3096 have they uttered their voiceH6963, from ZoarH6820 unto HoronaimH2773, [unto] Eglath-shelishijah: for even the watersH4325 of NimrimH5249 shall becomeH1961 desolations.
And I will cause to ceaseH7673 in MoabH4124, saith Jehovah, him that offereth in the highH1116 placeH1116, and him that burneth incenseH6999 to his 1godsH430.
ThereforeH3651 my heartH3820 shall sound for MoabH4124 like pipes, and my heartH3820 shall sound like pipes for the menH376 of Kir-heres; because the abundance that he hath gotten is perishedH6.
For every headH7218 is bald, and every beardH2206 clipped; upon all the handsH3027 are cuttings, and upon the loinsH4975 sackclothH8242.
It is wholly lamentation upon all the housetops of MoabH4124, and in the public places thereof; for I have brokenH7665 MoabH4124, like a vesselH3627 wherein is no pleasureH2656, saith Jehovah.
They howl, HowH349 is it broken down! howH349 hath MoabH4124 turnedH6437 the backH6437 with shameH954! And MoabH4124 shall beH1961 a derision and a terrorH4288 to all that areH1961 roundH5439 about him.
For thusH3541 saith Jehovah: Behold, he shall fly as an eagleH5404, and shall spreadH6566 forth his wingsH3671 over MoabH4124.
Kerijoth is takenH3920, and the strongholdsH4679 are seizedH8610, and at that dayH3117 the heartH3820 of the mightyH1368 menH1368 of MoabH4124 shall beH1961 as the heartH3820 of a womanH802 in her pangs.
