8The ScriptureγραφὴgraphēG1124,foreseeingG4275that Godθεός,theosG2316would justifyδικαιοῖdikaioiG1344theGentilesἔθνηethnēG1484by faithπίστεωςpisteōsG4102,preachedG4283the gospelG4283beforehandG4283to AbrahamἈβραὰμAbraamG11, saying, “AllπάνταpantaG3956the nationsἔθνη.ethnēG1484will be blessedἐνευλογηθήσονταιeneulogēthēsontaiG1757in you.”

16NowδὲdeG1161the promisesἐπαγγελίαιepangeliaiG1860were spokenG3004to AbrahamἈβραὰμAbraamG11and to his seedσπέρματιspermatiG4690.He does not sayλέγει·legeiG3004, “And to seedsσπέρμασινspermasinG4690,” as one would in referringto manyπολλῶνpollōnG4183, but rather as in referringto oneἑνός·henosG1520, “And to your seedσπέρματίspermatiG4690,”that is, ChristΧριστός.ChristosG5547.
