2For indeedκαὶkaiG2532,in thisτούτῳtoutōG3778tent wegroanστενάζομεν,stenazomenG4727,longingἐπιποθοῦντες·epipothountesG1971to beclothedἐπενδύσασθαιependusasthaiG1902with ourdwellingοἰκητήριονoikētērionG3613from heavenοὐρανοῦouranouG3772,

3sinceG1512inG2532factG2532after puttingG1746it on, we will not be foundεὑρεθησόμεθα.heurethēsomethaG2147nakedγυμνοὶgumnoiG1131.

4For indeedκαὶkaiG2532,we who are in thisG3588tentσκήνειskēneiG4636groanστενάζομενstenazomenG4727,being burdenedβαρούμενοι,baroumenoiG916,becauseἐφ᾽ ᾧeph᾽ hōG1909 G3739we do not wantθέλομενthelomenG2309to be unclothedἐκδύσασθαιekdusasthaiG1562but to beclothedἐπενδύσασθαι,ependusasthaiG1902,soG2443thatG2443whatG3588ismortalθνητὸνthnētonG2349will be swallowedκαταποθῇkatapothēaG2666upG2666by lifeζωῆς.¶zōēsG2222.

6ThereforeοὖνounG3767,beingG2292alwaysπάντοτεpantoteG3842ofG2292goodG2292courageG2292,and knowingG3609thatwhile we areG1736atG1736homeἐνδημοῦντεςendēmountesG1736in the bodyσώματι,sōmatiG4983we are absentἐκδημοῦμενekdēmoumenG1553from the Lordκυρίου·kuriouG2962--

7forwe walkπεριπατοῦμεν,peripatoumenG4043by faithπίστεωςpisteōsG4102, not bysightεἴδους,eidousG1491--

11ThereforeοὖνounG3767,knowingG3609thefearφόβονphobonG5401of the LordκυρίουkuriouG2962,we persuadeπείθομεν,peithomenG3982peopleἀνθρώπουςanthrōpousG444,but we are wellG5319knownG5319to GodθεῷtheōG2316;and I hopeἐλπίζωelpizōG1679that we are alsoκαὶkaiG2532wellG5319knownG5319in your consciencesσυνειδήσεσινsuneidēsesinG4893.

12We are not commendingσυνιστάνομενsunistanomenG4921ourselvesἑαυτοὺςhe'autousG1438to youagainπάλινpalinG3825, but aregivingδιδόντεςdidontesG1325you anopportunityἀφορμὴνaphormēnG874toG2745beG2745proudG2745of us, soἵναinaG2443thatG2443you will haveἔχητεechēteG2192an answerfor thoseτοὺςtousG3588who takeG2744prideG2744in appearanceπροσώπῳprosōpōG4383and not in heartκαρδίᾳ.kardiaG2588.

18NowδὲdeG1161allG3956thesethingsπάνταpantaG3956are from GodθεοῦtheouG2316,whoG3588reconciledκαταλλάξαντοςkatallaxantosG2644us to Himselfἑαυτῷhe'autōG1438throughδιὰdiaG1223ChristΧριστοῦChristouG5547and gaveδόντοςdontosG1325us theministryδιακονίανdiakonianG1248of reconciliationκαταλλαγῆς,katallagēsG2643,
