Matthew 13:27-52

27The slavesG1401 of the landownerG3617 cameG4334 and saidG3004 to him, ‘SirG2962, did you not sowG4687 goodG2570 seedG4690 in your fieldG68? 1HowG4159 thenG3767 does it haveG2192 taresG2215?’ 28And he saidG5346 to them, ‘An 2enemyG2190G444 has doneG4160 thisG3778!’ The slavesG1401 saidG3004 to him, ‘Do you wantG2309 us, thenG3767, to goG565 and gatherG4816 them up?’ 29But he saidG5346, ‘NoG3756; for while you are gatheringG4816 up the taresG2215, you may uprootG1610 the wheatG4621 with them. 30AllowG863 bothG297 to growG4885 togetherG4885 untilG2193 the harvestG2326; and in the timeG2540 of the harvestG2326 I will sayG3004 to the reapersG2327, “FirstG4413 gatherG4816 up the taresG2215 and bindG1210 them in bundlesG1197 to burnG2618 them up; but 3gatherG4863 the wheatG4621 into my barnG596.”’”

31He presentedG3908 anotherG243 parableG3850 to them, sayingG3004, “4The kingdomG932 of heavenG3772 is likeG3664 5a mustardG4615 seedG2848, whichG3739 a manG444 tookG2983 and sowedG4687 in his fieldG68; 32and thisG3739 is smallerG3398 than allG3956 other seedsG4690, but whenG3752 it is fullG837 grownG837, it is largerG3173 than the gardenG3001 plantsG3001 and becomesG1096 a treeG1186, soG5620 that 6the birdsG4071 of the 7airG3772 comeG2064 and nestG2681 in its branchesG2798.”

33He spokeG2980 anotherG243 parableG3850 to them, “8The kingdomG932 of heavenG3772 is likeG3664 leavenG2219, whichG3739 a womanG1135 tookG2983 and hidG1470 in 9threeG5140 10pecksG4568 of flourG224 untilG2193 it was allG3650 leavenedG2220.”

34AllG3956 theseG3778 thingsG3778 JesusG2424 spokeG2980 to the crowdsG3793 in parablesG3850, and He did not speakG2980 to them 11withoutG5565 a parableG3850. 35This was to fulfillG4137 whatG3588 was spokenG3004 throughG1223 the prophetG4396: “12I will openG455 My mouthG4750 in parablesG3850; I will utterG2044 thingsG2928 hiddenG2928 sinceG575 the foundationG2602 of the worldG2889.”

36ThenG5119 He leftG863 the crowdsG3793 and wentG2064 into 13the houseG3614. And His disciplesG3101 cameG4334 to Him and saidG3004, “14ExplainG1285 to us the parableG3850 of the 15taresG2215 of the fieldG68.” 37And He saidG3004, “The one who sowsG4687 the goodG2570 seedG4690 is 16the SonG5207 of ManG444, 38and the fieldG68 is the worldG2889; and as for the goodG2570 seedG4690, theseG3778 are 17the sonsG5207 of the kingdomG932; and the taresG2215 are 18the sonsG5207 of 19the evilG4190 one; 39and the enemyG2190 who sowedG4687 them is the devilG1228, and the harvestG2326 is 20the 21endG4930 of the ageG165; and the reapersG2327 are angelsG32. 40SoG3779 justG5618 as the taresG2215 are gatheredG4816 up and burnedG2618 with fireG4442, soG3779 shall it be at 22the 23endG4930 of the ageG165. 4124The SonG5207 of ManG444 25will sendG649 forthG649 His angelsG32, and they will gatherG4816 out of His kingdomG932 26allG3956 27stumblingG4625 blocksG4625, and thoseG3588 who commitG4160 lawlessnessG458, 42and 28will throwG906 them into the furnaceG2575 of fireG4442; in that placeG1563 29there will be weepingG2805 and gnashingG1030 of teethG3599. 4330ThenG5119 the righteousG1342 will shineG1584 forthG1584 as the sunG2246 in the kingdomG932 of their FatherG3962. 31He who hasG2192 earsG3775, 32let him hearG191.

44“33The kingdomG932 of heavenG3772 is likeG3664 a treasureG2344 hiddenG2928 in the fieldG68, whichG3739 a manG444 foundG2147 and hidG2928 again; and from joyG5479 over it he goesG5217 and 34sellsG4453 allG3745 that he hasG2192 and buysG59 that fieldG68.

45“AgainG3825, 35the kingdomG932 of heavenG3772 is likeG3664 a merchantG1713 seekingG2212 fineG2570 pearlsG3135, 46and upon findingG2147 oneG1520 pearlG3135 of greatG4186 valueG4186, he wentG565 and soldG4097 allG3956 that he hadG2192 and boughtG59 it.

47“AgainG3825, 36the kingdomG932 of heavenG3772 is likeG3664 a dragnetG4522 castG906 into the seaG2281, and gatheringG4863 fish of everyG3956 kindG1085; 48and whenG3753 it was filledG4137, they drewG307 it up on the beachG123; and they satG2523 downG2523 and gatheredG4816 the goodG2570 fish into containersG32, but the badG4550 they threwG906 awayG1854. 49SoG3779 it will be at 37the 38endG4930 of the ageG165; the angelsG32 will comeG1831 forthG1831 and 39takeG873 out the wickedG4190 from amongG3319 the righteousG1342, 50and 40will throwG906 them into the furnaceG2575 of fireG4442; in that placeG1563 41thereG1563 will be weepingG2805 and gnashingG1030 of teethG3599.

51“Have you understoodG4920 allG3956 theseG3778 thingsG3778?” They saidG3004 to Him, “YesG3483.” 52And 42Jesus saidG3004 to them, “ThereforeG1223G3778 everyG3956 scribeG1122 who has becomeG3100 a discipleG3100 of the kingdomG932 of heavenG3772 is likeG3664 a headG3617 of a householdG3617, whoG3748 bringsG1544 out of his treasureG2344 thingsG2537 newG2537 and oldG3820.”
