Jeremiah 14:17-22
17And thou shalt sayH559 this wordH1697 unto them: Let mine eyesH5869 run down with tearsH1832, nightH3915 and dayH3119, and not ceaseH1820; for the virginH1330 daughterH1323 of my peopleH5971 is brokenH7665 with a greatH1419 breach, with a veryH3966 grievous blowH4347. 18If I goH3318 forthH3318 into the fieldH7704, behold the slainH2491 with the swordH2719! and if I enter into the cityH5892, behold them that pine away with famineH7458! For both prophetH5030 and priestH3548 shall goH3318 about into a landH776 that they knowH3045 not. 19— Hast thou then utterly rejectedH3988 JudahH3063? Doth thy soulH5315 loathe ZionH6726? WhyH4069 hast thou smitten us, and there is no healingH4832 for us? PeaceH7965 is looked for, and there is no goodH2896, — and a timeH6256 of healingH4832, and behold terrorH1205! 20Jehovah, we acknowledge our wickednessH7562, the iniquityH5771 of our fathersH1; for we have sinnedH2398 against thee. 21For thy name's sakeH4616, do not spurnH5006 [us], do not disgrace the throneH3678 of thy gloryH3519: rememberH2142, breakH6565 not thy covenantH1285 with us. 22Are there any among the vanitiesH1892 of the nationsH1471 that can cause rain? or can the heavensH8064 giveH5414 showersH7241? Art not thou HE, Jehovah, our 1GodH430? And we waitH6960 upon thee; for thou hast madeH6213 all these thingsH428.
