Hebrews 10
Darby Bible
1For the lawG3551, having a shadowG4639 of the comingG4334 goodG18 thingsG3739, not the imageG1504 itself of the thingsG3739, can never, by the sameG846 sacrificesG2378 which they offerG4374 continually yearly, perfectG5048 those who approachG4334. 2Since, would they not indeed have ceasedG3973 being offeredG4374, on accountG1223 of the worshippers onceG530 purged having noG3756 longerG2089 any conscienceG4893 of sinsG266? 3But in these [there is] a calling to mind of sinsG266 yearly. 4For bloodG129 of bullsG5022 and goatsG5131 [is] incapable of takingG851 awayG851 sinsG266. 5Wherefore comingG1525 into the worldG2889 he saysG3004, SacrificeG2378 and offeringG4376 thou willedst not; but thou hast prepared me a bodyG4983. 6Thou tookest no pleasureG2106 in burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sinG266. 7ThenG5119 I saidG3004, Lo, I comeG2240 (in [the] roll of the bookG975 it is writtenG1125 of me) to do, O 1GodG2316, thy will. 8Above, sayingG3004 SacrificesG2378 and offeringsG4376 and burnt-offerings and sacrificesG2378 for sinG266 thou willedst not, neither tookest pleasureG2106 in (which are offeredG4374 accordingG2596 to the lawG3551); 9thenG5119 he saidG3004, Lo, I comeG2240 to do thy will. He takes away the firstG4413 that he may establishG2476 the secondG1208; 10by which will we have beenG1510 sanctifiedG37 through the offeringG4376 of the bodyG4983 of JesusG2424 ChristG5547 onceG2178 for all. 11And every priestG2409 standsG2476 daily ministeringG3008, and offeringG4374 oftenG4178 the sameG846 sacrificesG2378, which can neverG3763 take awayG4014 sinsG266. 12But he, having offeredG4374 oneG1520 sacrificeG2378 for sinsG266, satG2523 downG2523 in perpetuity at [the] rightG1188 handG1188 of 2GodG2316, 13waiting from henceforth until his enemiesG2190 be setG5087 [for the] footstoolG5286 of his feetG4228. 14For by oneG1520 offeringG4376 he has perfectedG5048 in perpetuity the sanctifiedG37. 15And the HolyG40 SpiritG4151 alsoG2532 bears us witnessG3140 [of it]; for after what was saidG3004: 16This [is] the covenantG1242 which I will establish towards them after those daysG2250, saith [the] LordG2962: GivingG1325 my lawsG3551 into their heartsG2588, I will write them alsoG2532 in their understandings; 17and their sinsG266 and their lawlessnesses I will never rememberG3403 any moreG2089. 18But whereG3699 there [is] remission of these, [there is] no longer a sacrifice for sinG266. 19Having thereforeG3767, brethren, boldnessG3954 for entering into the [holyG40 of] holiesG40 by the bloodG129 of JesusG2424, 20the new and livingG2198 wayG3598 which he has dedicated for us through the veilG2665, that isG1510, his fleshG4561, 21and [having] a greatG3173 priestG2409 over the houseG3624 of 3GodG2316, 22let us approachG4334 with a trueG228 heartG2588, in fullG4136 assuranceG4136 of faithG4102, sprinkled as to our heartsG2588 from a wickedG4190 conscienceG4893, and washedG3068 as to our bodyG4983 with pureG2513 water. 23Let us holdG2722 fastG2722 the confessionG3671 of the hopeG1680 unwavering, (for he [is] faithfulG4103 who has promisedG1861;) 24and let us considerG2657 oneG240 another for provoking to loveG26 and goodG2570 worksG2041; 25not forsaking the assembling of ourselves togetherG1997, as the customG1485 [is] with some; but encouragingG3870 [oneG5100 another], and by so muchG3745 the moreG3123 as ye seeG991 the dayG2250 drawingG1448 near. 26For where we sinG266 wilfully after receivingG2983 the knowledgeG1922 of the truthG225, there no longer remainsG620 any sacrificeG2378 for sinsG266, 27but a certainG5100 fearfulG5398 expectation of judgmentG2920, and heat of fireG4442 about to devour the adversaries. 28Any oneG5100 that has disregarded Moses' lawG3551 diesG599 without mercy on [the testimony of] twoG1417 or threeG5140 witnessesG3144: 29of howG4214 muchG4214 worse punishment, thinkG1380 ye, shall he be judged worthyG515 who has trodden under foot the SonG5207 of 4GodG2316, and esteemed the bloodG129 of the covenantG1242, whereby he has been sanctifiedG37, commonG2839, and has insulted the SpiritG4151 of graceG5485? 30For we know him that saidG3004, To me [belongs] vengeanceG1557; I will recompense, saith the LordG2962: and againG3825, The LordG2962 shall judgeG2919 his peopleG2992. 31[It is] a fearfulG5398 thing falling into [the] handsG5495 of [the] livingG2198 5GodG2316. 32But call to mind the earlier daysG2250 in which, having been enlightenedG5461, ye enduredG5278 muchG4183 conflict of sufferings; 33on the oneG3778 hand, when ye were made a spectacle both in reproachesG3680 and afflictionsG2347; and on the other, when ye becameG1096 partakersG2844 with those who were passing through them. 34For ye both sympathised with prisonersG1198 and acceptedG4327 with joyG5479 the plunder of your goods, knowingG1097 that ye have for yourselvesG1438 a better substance, and an abidingG3306 one. 35Cast not awayG577 thereforeG3767 your confidenceG3954, which has greatG3173 recompense. 36For ye have needG5532 of enduranceG5281 in orderG2443 that, having done the will of 6GodG2316, ye may receiveG2865 the promiseG1860. 37For yet a very littleG3398 while he that comesG2064 will comeG2064, and will not delayG5549. 38But the justG1342 shall liveG2198 by faithG4102; and, if he draw backG5288, my soulG5590 does not take pleasureG2106 in him. 39But we areG1510 not drawers back to perdition, but of faithG4102 to saving [the] soulG5590.
