The Patmos Vision

937I, JohnG2491, your 38brotherG80 and 39fellowG4791 participantG4791 in the tribulationG2347 and 40kingdomG932 and 4142perseveranceG5281 in JesusG2424, was on the islandG3520 calledG2564 PatmosG3963 43becauseG1223 of the wordG3056 of GodG2316 and the testimonyG3141 of JesusG2424. 10I was 44in the 45SpiritG4151 on 46the Lord’sG2960 dayG2250, and I heardG191 behindG3694 me a loudG3173 voiceG5456 47likeG5613 the sound of a trumpetG4536, 11sayingG3004, “48WriteG1125 49on a scrollG975 whatG3739 you seeG991, and sendG3992 it to the 50sevenG2033 churchesG1577: to 51EphesusG2181, 52SmyrnaG4667, 53PergamumG4010, 54ThyatiraG2363, 55SardisG4554, 56PhiladelphiaG5359, and 57LaodiceaG2993.”

12ThenG2532 I turnedG1994 to seeG991 the voiceG5456 that was speakingG2980 with me. And after turningG1994 I sawG3708 58sevenG2033 goldenG5552 lampstandsG3087; 13and 59in the middleG3319 of the lampstandsG3087 I saw oneG3664 60likeG3664 61a sonG5207 of manG444, 62clothedG1746 in a robeG4158 reachingG4158 toG4158 theG4158 feetG4158, and 63wrappedG4024 aroundG4024 the chestG3149 with a goldenG5552 sashG2223. 14His headG2776 and His 64hairG2359 were whiteG3022 likeG5613 whiteG3022 woolG2053, likeG5613 snowG5510; and 65His eyesG3788 were likeG5613 a flameG5395 of fireG4442. 15His 66feetG4228 were likeG3664 67burnishedG5474 bronzeG5474 whenG5613 it has been heatedG4448 toG4448 aG4448 glowG4448 in a furnaceG2575, and His 68voiceG5456 was likeG5613 the soundG5456 of manyG4183 watersG5204. 16In His rightG1188 handG5495 He heldG2192 69sevenG2033 starsG792, and out of His mouthG4750 cameG1607 a 70sharpG3691 two-edgedG1366 swordG4501; and His 71faceG3799 was likeG5613 72the sunG2246 73shiningG5316 in its strengthG1411.

17WhenG3753 I sawG3708 Him, I 74fellG4098 at His feetG4228 likeG5613 a deadG3498 manG3498. And He 75placedG5087 His rightG1188 handG1188 on me, sayingG3004, “76Do not beG5399 afraidG5399; 77I amG1510 the firstG4413 and the lastG2078, 18and the 78livingG2198 One; and I 7980was deadG3498, and beholdG2400, I amG1510 aliveG2198 forevermoreG165, and I haveG2192 81the keysG2807 of deathG2288 and of HadesG86. 19ThereforeG3767 82writeG1125 83the things whichG3739 you have seenG3708, 84and the things whichG3739 are, and the things whichG3739 will takeG1096 placeG1096 85afterG3326 theseG3778 thingsG3778. 20As for the 86mysteryG3466 of the 87sevenG2033 starsG792 whichG3739 you sawG3708 in My rightG1188 handG1188, and the 88sevenG2033 goldenG5552 lampstandsG3087: the 89sevenG2033 starsG792 are the angelsG32 of 90the sevenG2033 churchesG1577, and the sevenG2033 91lampstandsG3087 are the sevenG2033 churchesG1577.
