1WhenὅτεhoteG3753JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424had finishedἐτέλεσενetelesenG5055allπάνταςpantasG3956theseτούτους,toutousG3778wordsλόγουςlogousG3056,He saidG3004to His disciplesμαθηταῖςmathētaisG3101,

2“You knowG3609that afterμετὰmetaG3326twoδύοduoG1417daysἡμέραςhēmerasG2250the PassoverπάσχαpaschaG3957is comingγίνεται,ginetaiG1096,and the SonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of ManἀνθρώπουanthrōpouG444is to behandedG3860overG3860for crucifixionσταυρωθῆναι.¶staurōthēnaiG4717.”

3AtG5119thatG5119timeG5119the chiefἀρχιερεῖςarchiereisG749priestsἀρχιερέωςarchiereōsG749and the eldersπρεσβύτεροιpresbuteroiG4245of the peopleλαοῦlaouG2992were gatheredG4863togetherσυνήχθησανsunēchthēsanG4863inthe courtyardαὐλὴνaulēnG833of the highG749priestG749namedλεγομένουlegomenouG3004CaiaphasΚαϊάφαKaiaphaG2533;

4and theyplottedG4823togetherσυνεβουλεύσαντοsunebouleusantoG4823to arrestκρατήσωσινkratēsōsinG2902JesusἸησοῦνIēsounG2424covertlyδόλῳdolōG1388and killἀποκτείνωσιν.apokteinōsinG615Him.

5But they were sayingἔλεγονelegonG3004, “Not duringἐνenG1722the festivalἑορτῇ,he'ortēaG1859,otherwiseἵναinaG2443 G3361a riotθόρυβοςthorubosG2351might occurγένηταιgenētaiG1096amongἐνenG1722the peopleλαῷ.¶laōG2992.”

6NowδὲdeG1161when JesusἸησοῦIēsouG2424was inBethanyΒηθανίᾳBēthaniaG963,at the homeοἰκίᾳoikiaG3614of SimonΣίμωνοςSimōnosG4613the LeperλεπροῦleprouG3015,

7a womanγυνὴgunēG1135cameπροσῆλθενprosēlthenG4334to Him with an alabasterἀλάβαστρονalabastronG211vialG211of veryG927expensiveG927perfumeμύρουmurouG3464,and she pouredκατέχεενkatecheenG2708it on His headκεφαλῆςkephalēsG2776as He was recliningἀνακειμένου.anakeimenouG345at the table.

8But the disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101were indignantἠγανάκτησανēganaktēsanG23when they sawG3708this,and saidλέγοντες·legontesG3004, “Whyεἰς τίeis tiG1519 G5101thisαὕτη;hautēG3778wasteἀπώλειαapōleiaG684?

9For thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778perfumecouldἐδύνατοedunatoG1410have been soldπραθῆναιprathēnaiG4097for a highG4183priceG4183and the moneygivenδοθῆναιdothēnaiG1325to the poorπτωχοῖς.ptōchoisG4434.”

10But JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424,awareγνοὺςgnousG1097of this, saidG3004to them,“WhyτίtiG5101are you botheringκόπους παρέχετεkopous parecheteG2873 G3930the womanγυναικί;gunaikiG1135?For she has doneἠργάσατοērgasatoG2038a goodκαλὸνkalonG2570deedἔργονergonG2041for Me.

11For you alwaysπάντοτεpantoteG3842haveἔχετεecheteG2192the poorπτωχοὺςptōchousG4434with you; but you do not alwaysπάντοτεpantoteG3842haveἔχετε.echeteG2192Me.

12For when she pouredβαλοῦσαbalousaG906thisG3778perfumeμύρονmuronG3464on My bodyσώματόςsōmatosG4983,she didἐποίησεν.¶epoiēsenG4160itto prepareG1779Me forG1779burialG1779.

13TrulyἈμὴνAmēnG281I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you,whereverὅπου ἐὰνhopou eanG3699 G1437thisG3778gospelεὐαγγέλιονeuangelionG2098is preachedκηρυχθῇkēruchthēaG2784in the wholeὅλῳholōG3650worldκόσμῳ,kosmōG2889,whatὃhoG3739thisG3778womanG3778has doneἐποίησενepoiēsenG4160will alsoκαὶkaiG2532be toldλαληθήσεταιlalēthēsetaiG2980in memoryμνημόσυνονmnēmosunonG3422of her.”

15and saidG3004, “WhatτίtiG5101are you willingθέλετέtheleteG2309to giveδοῦναι,dounaiG1325me tobetrayπαραδώσωparadōsōG3860Him to you?” Andthey setἔστησανestēsanG2476outfor him thirtyτριάκονταtriakontaG5144piecesG694ofG694silverἀργύρια.arguriaG694.

16And from thenτότεtoteG5119on he lookedG2212forG2212a goodG2120opportunityεὐκαιρίανeukairianG2120tobetrayπαραδῷ.¶paradōG3860Jesus.
