Mark 6:30-53
301The 2apostlesG652 gatheredG4863 togetherG4863 with JesusG2424; and they reportedG518 to Him allG3956 that they had doneG4160 and taughtG1321. 31And He saidG3004 to them, “ComeG1205 awayG1205 by yourselvesG4771G846 to a secludedG2048 placeG5117 and restG373 a whileG3641.” (For there were manyG4183 people comingG2064 and goingG5217, and 3they did not evenG3761 haveG2119 timeG2119 to eatG2068.) 324They wentG565 awayG565 in 5the boatG4143 to a secludedG2048 placeG5117 by themselvesG2398. 33The people sawG3708 them goingG5217, and manyG4183 recognizedG1921 them and ranG4936 thereG1563 togetherG4936 on footG3979 from allG3956 the citiesG4172, and gotG4281 thereG4281 aheadG4281 of them. 34When Jesus wentG1831 6ashoreG1831, He 7sawG3708 a largeG4183 crowdG3793, and He feltG4697 compassionG4697 for them becauseG3754 8they were likeG5613 sheepG4263 withoutG3361G2192 a shepherdG4166; and He beganG757 to teachG1321 them manyG4183 thingsG4183. 35When it was alreadyG2235 quiteG4183 lateG5610G4183, His disciplesG3101 cameG4334 to Him and saidG3004, “9ThisG3588 placeG5117 is desolateG2048 and it is alreadyG2235 quiteG4183 lateG5610G4183; 36sendG630 them awayG630 soG2443 that they may goG565 into the surroundingG2945 countrysideG68 and villagesG2968 and buyG59 themselvesG1438 10somethingG5101 to eatG2068.” 37But He answeredG611 them, “You giveG1325 them something to eatG2068!” 11And they saidG3004 to Him, “Shall we goG565 and spendG59 twoG1250 hundredG1250 1213denariiG1220 on breadG740 and giveG1325 them something to eatG2068?” 38And He saidG3004 to them, “HowG4214 manyG4214 loavesG740 do you haveG2192? GoG5217 lookG3708!” And when they foundG1097 out, they saidG3004, “FiveG4002, and twoG1417 fishG2486.” 39And He commandedG2004 them allG3956 to 14sitG347 downG347 by groupsG4849 on the greenG5515 grassG5528. 40They 15satG377 downG377 in groupsG4237 of hundredsG1540 and of fiftiesG4004. 41And He tookG2983 the fiveG4002 loavesG740 and the twoG1417 fishG2486, and lookingG308 up towardG1519 heavenG3772, He 16blessedG2127 the food and brokeG2622 the loavesG740 and He kept givingG1325 them to the disciplesG3101 to setG3908 beforeG3908 them; and He dividedG3307 up the twoG1417 fishG2486 among them allG3956. 42They allG3956 ateG2068 and were satisfiedG5526, 43and they pickedG142 up twelveG1427 fullG4138 17basketsG2894 of the brokenG2801 piecesG2801, and also of the fishG2486. 44There were 18fiveG4000 thousandG4000 menG435 who ateG2068 the loavesG740.
4519ImmediatelyG2117 Jesus madeG315 His disciplesG3101 getG1684 into 20the boatG4143 and goG4254 aheadG4254 of Him to the otherG4008 sideG4008 to 21BethsaidaG966, whileG2193 He HimselfG846 was sendingG630 the crowdG3793 awayG630. 46After 22biddingG657 them farewellG657, He leftG565 23for the mountainG3735 to prayG4336.
47When it was eveningG3798, the boatG4143 was in the middleG3319 of the seaG2281, and He was aloneG3441 on the landG1093. 48SeeingG3708 them 24strainingG928 at the oarsG1643, for the windG417 was againstG1727 them, at aboutG4012 the 2526fourthG5067 watchG5438 of the nightG3571 He cameG2064 to them, walkingG4043 on the seaG2281; and He intendedG2309 to passG3928 by them. 49But when they sawG3708 Him walkingG4043 on the seaG2281, they supposedG1380 that it was a ghostG5326, and criedG349 out; 50for they allG3956 sawG3708 Him and were 27terrifiedG5015. But immediatelyG2117 He spokeG2980 with them and saidG3004 to them, “28TakeG2293 courageG2293; it is I, 29do not be afraidG5399.” 51ThenG2532 He gotG305 into 30the boatG4143 with them, and the windG417 stoppedG2869; and they were utterlyG3029G1537G4053 astonishedG1839, 52for 31they 32had not gainedG4920 any insightG4920 from the incident of the loavesG740, but 33their heartG2588 34was hardenedG4456.
5335When they had crossedG1276 overG1276 they cameG2064 to landG1093 at GennesaretG1082, and mooredG4358 to the shore.
