Luke 24:21-43
But we had hopedG1679 that he wasG1510 [the oneG3739] who isG1510 about to redeemG3084 IsraelG2474. But then, besides all these thingsG3778, it isG1510 nowG1161, to-day, the thirdG5154 dayG2250 since these thingsG3778 took placeG1096.
And withal, certainG5100 womenG1135 from amongst us astonished us, having been very early at the sepulchre,
and, not having foundG2147 his bodyG4983, cameG2064, sayingG3004 that they alsoG2532 had seenG3708 a visionG3701 of angelsG32, who sayG3004 that he is livingG2198.
And some of those with us wentG565 to the sepulchre, and foundG2147 it so, as the womenG1135 alsoG2532 had saidG3004, but him they sawG3708 not.
And he saidG3004 to them, O senseless and slowG1021 of heartG2588 to believeG4100 in all that the prophetsG4396 have spokenG2980!
OughtG1163 not the ChristG5547 to have sufferedG3958 these thingsG3778 and to enterG1525 into his gloryG1391?
And having begunG757 from MosesG3475 and from all the prophetsG4396, he interpreted to them in all the scripturesG1124 the thingsG3956 concerningG4012 himself.
And they drew near to the villageG2968 whereG3757 they were goingG4198, and he made as though he would goG4198 farther.
And they constrained him, sayingG3004, StayG3306 with us, for it isG1510 toward eveningG2073 and the dayG2250 isG1510 declining. And he enteredG1525 in to stayG3306 with them.
And it cameG1096 to passG1096 as he was at table with them, having taken the breadG740, he blessedG2127, and having brokenG2806 it, gaveG1929 it to them.
And their eyesG3788 were openedG1272, and they recognised him. And he disappeared from them.
And they saidG3004 to oneG240 another, WasG1510 not our heartG2588 burningG2545 in us as he spokeG2980 to us on the wayG3598, [and] as he openedG1272 the scripturesG1124 to us?
And risingG450 up the sameG846 hourG5610, they returnedG5290 to JerusalemG2419. And they foundG2147 the elevenG1733, and those with them, gathered togetherG4867,
sayingG3004, The LordG2962 is indeed risenG1453 and has appeared to SimonG4613.
And they related what [had happened] on the wayG3598, and howG5613 he was made knownG1097 to them in the breakingG2800 of breadG740.
And as they were sayingG2980 these thingsG3778, he himself stoodG2476 in their midstG3319, and saysG2980 to them, Peace [be] unto you.
But they, being confounded and being frightened, supposed they beheld a spiritG4151.
And he saidG3004 to them, WhyG5101 areG1510 ye troubledG5015? and whyG5101 areG1510 thoughtsG1261 rising in your heartsG2588?
behold my handsG5495 and my feetG4228, that it isG1510 I myself. Handle me and seeG3708, for a spiritG4151 has not fleshG4561 and bones as ye seeG3708 me having.
And having saidG3004 this he shewed them his handsG5495 and his feetG4228.
But while they yet did not believe for joyG5479, and were wonderingG2296, he saidG3004 to them, Have ye anythingG5100 hereG1759 to eat?
And they gaveG1929 him partG3313 of a broiled fishG2486 and of a honeycomb;
