Jeremiah 50:41-46
41Behold, a peopleH5971 cometh from the northH6828, and a greatH1419 nationH1471. And manyH7227 kingsH4428 shall arise from the uttermost partsH3411 of the earthH776. 42They lay holdH2388 of bowH7198 and spear; they are cruelH394, and will not shew mercyH7355; their voiceH6963 roareth like the seaH3220, and they rideH7392 upon horsesH5483 — set in array like a manH376 for the battleH4421, against thee, O daughterH1323 of BabylonH894. 43The kingH4428 of BabylonH894 hath heardH8085 the reportH8088 of them, and his handsH3027 wax feeble; troubleH6869 hath takenH2388 holdH2388 of him, pangs as of a woman in travail. 44Behold, he shall comeH5927 up like a lionH738 from the swelling of the JordanH3383 against the strong habitation; for I will make him suddenly runH7323 away from it; and who is a chosen [manH970] whom I may appointH6485 over her? For who is like me? and who will assign me a time? and who is that shepherdH7462 that will standH5975 before me? 45ThereforeH3651 hearH8085 the counselH6098 of Jehovah, which he hath taken against BabylonH894, and his purposes which he hath purposed against the landH776 of the ChaldeansH3778: The little onesH6810 of the flockH6629 shall certainly draw them away; he shall certainly makeH8074 their habitation desolateH8074 for them. 46At the soundH6963 of the taking of BabylonH894 the earthH776 hath quakedH7493, and the cryH2201 is heardH8085 among the nationsH1471.
