Jeremiah 38:4-6
4And the princesH8269 saidH559 unto the kingH4428, Let this manH376, we pray thee, be putH4191 to deathH4191; for why should he weaken the handsH3027 of the menH376 of warH4421 that remainH7604 in this cityH5892, and the handsH3027 of all the peopleH5971, in speakingH1696 to them according to these wordsH1697? for this manH376 seeketh not the welfareH7965 of this peopleH5971, but the hurt.
5And kingH4428 ZedekiahH6667 saidH559, Behold, he is in your handH3027; for the kingH4428 is not he that can do a thingH1697 against you.
6Then they tookH3947 JeremiahH3414, and castH7993 him into the dungeon of Malchijah the sonH1121 of Hammelech, which was in the courtH2691 of the guardH4307, and they let down JeremiahH3414 with cordsH2256. And in the dungeon there was no waterH4325, but mire; and JeremiahH3414 sank in the mire.
