Jeremiah 3:19-25
19And as for me, I saidH559, HowH349 shall I putH5414 thee among the children, and giveH5414 thee the pleasant landH776, the goodly inheritanceH5159 of the hostsH6635 of the nationsH1471? And I saidH559, Thou shalt callH7121 me, My fatherH1; and shalt not turnH7725 awayH7725 from following me. 20Surely [as] a womanH802 treacherouslyH898 departeth from her companionH7453, soH3651 have ye dealtH898 treacherouslyH898 with me, O houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, saith Jehovah. 21A voiceH6963 is heardH8085 upon the heightsH8205, the weepingH1065 supplicationsH8469 of the children of IsraelH3478; for they have perverted their wayH1870, they have forgottenH7911 Jehovah their 1GodH430. 22— ReturnH7725, backsliding children; I will healH7495 your backslidings. ...Behold, we comeH857 unto thee; for thou art Jehovah our 2GodH430. 23TrulyH403 in vain [is salvationH8668 looked for] from the hillsH1389, [and] the multitudeH1995 of mountainsH2022; trulyH403 in Jehovah our 3GodH430 is the salvationH8668 of IsraelH3478. 24But shameH1322 hath devouredH398 the labour of our fathersH1 from our youthH5271; their flocksH6629 and their herdsH1241, their sonsH1121 and their daughtersH1323. 25We lieH7901 down in our shameH1322, and our confusion covereth us; for we have sinnedH2398 against Jehovah our 4GodH430, we and our fathersH1, from our youthH5271 even unto this dayH3117, and have not hearkened to the voiceH6963 of Jehovah our 5GodH430.
