Jeremiah 20:7-13

Jehovah, thou hast enticedH6601 me, and I wasH1961 enticedH6601; thou hast laid holdH2388 of me, and hast prevailedH3201; I amH1961 becomeH1961 a derision the whole dayH3117: every one mocketh me.

For as oft as I speakH1696, I cryH2199 out; I proclaimH7121 violenceH2555 and spoil; for the wordH1697 of Jehovah is becomeH1961 unto me a reproachH2781 and a derisionH7047 all the dayH3117.

And I saidH559, I will not makeH2142 mention of him, nor speakH1696 any more in his nameH8034: but it was in my heartH3820 as a burning fireH784 shutH6113 up in my bonesH6106; and I becameH1961 weariedH3811 with holdingH3557 in, and I could not.

For I have heardH8085 the defaming of manyH7227, terrorH4032 on every side: ReportH1681, and we will reportH1681 it. All my familiars are watchingH8104 for my stumbling: Peradventure he will be enticedH6601, and we shall prevailH3201 against him; and we shall takeH3947 our revenge on him.

But Jehovah is with me as a mightyH1368 terrible one; thereforeH3651 my persecutors shall stumbleH3782 and shall not prevailH3201; they shall be greatly ashamedH954, for they have not prospered: it shall be an everlasting confusion that shall not be forgottenH7911.

And thou, Jehovah of hostsH6635, who triest the righteousH6662, who seest the reins and the heartH3820, let me seeH7200 thy vengeanceH5360 on them; for unto thee have I revealedH1540 my causeH7379.

SingH7891 ye unto Jehovah, praiseH1984 Jehovah, for he hath deliveredH5337 the soulH5315 of the needyH34 from the handH3027 of evildoers.
