Jeremiah 20:7-13
7LordH3068, You persuadedH6601 me and I let myself be persuadedH6601; You have 1overcomeH2388 me and prevailedH3201. I have becomeH1961 a 2laughingstockH7814 allH3605 dayH3117 long; EveryoneH3605 3mocksH3932 me.8For eachH1767 timeH1767 I speakH1696, I cryH2199 aloudH2199; I 4proclaimH7121 violenceH2555 and destructionH7701, BecauseH3588 for me the 5wordH1697 of the LordH3068 has 6resultedH1961 In tauntingH2781 and derisionH7047 allH3605 dayH3117 long.9But if I sayH559, “I will not 7rememberH2142 Him NorH3808 speakH1696 anymoreH5750 in His nameH8034,” Then in 8my heartH3820 it becomesH1961 like a burningH1197 fireH784 ShutH6113 upH6113 in my bonesH6106; And I amH3811 tiredH3811 of holdingH3557 it in, And 9I cannotH3808 endureH3201 it.10For 10I have heardH8085 the whisperingH1681 of manyH7227, “11TerrorH4032 on everyH5439 sideH5439! 12DenounceH5046 him; let’s denounceH5046 him!” 13AllH3605 my 14trustedH7965 friendsH582H7965, WatchingH8104 for my fallH6761, say: “PerhapsH194 he will be persuadedH6601, so that we may 15prevailH3201 against him And takeH3947 our revengeH5360 on him.”11But the 16LordH3068 is with me like a powerfulH6184 championH1368; ThereforeH5921H3651 my 17persecutorsH7291 will stumbleH3782 and not prevailH3201. They will be putH954 toH954 greatH3966 shameH954 becauseH3588 they have 18failedH3808H7919, An 19everlastingH5769 disgraceH3639 that will not be forgottenH7911.12Yet, LordH3068 of armiesH6635, who 20testsH974 the righteousH6662, Who seesH7200 the 21mindH3629 and the heartH3820; Let me 22seeH7200 Your vengeanceH5360 on them, For 23to You I have disclosedH1540 my causeH7379.1324SingH7891 to the LordH3068, praiseH1984 the LordH3068! For He has 25savedH5337 the soulH5315 of the needyH34 oneH34 From the handH3027 of evildoersH7489.
