Jeremiah 20:7-13
7O LordH3068, You have deceivedH6601 me and I was deceivedH6601; You have 1overcomeH2388 me and prevailedH3201. I have becomeH1961 a 2laughingstockH7814 allH3605 dayH3117 long; EveryoneH3605 3mocksH3932 me.8For eachH1767 timeH1767 I speakH1696, I cryH2199 aloudH2199; I 4proclaimH7121 violenceH2555 and destructionH7701, BecauseH3588 for me the 5wordH1697 of the LordH3068 has 6resultedH1961 In reproachH2781 and derisionH7047 allH3605 dayH3117 long.9But if I sayH559, “I will not 7rememberH2142 Him Or speakH1696 anymoreH5750 in His nameH8034,” Then in 8my heartH3820 it becomesH1961 like a burningH1197 fireH784 ShutH6113 up in my bonesH6106; And I am wearyH3811 of holdingH3557 it in, And 9I cannotH3808 endureH3201 it.10For 10I have heardH8085 the whisperingH1681 of manyH7227, “11TerrorH4032 on everyH5439 sideH5439! 12DenounceH5046 him; yes, let us denounceH5046 him!” 13AllH3605 my 14trustedH7965 friendsH582H7965, WatchingH8104 for my fallH6761, say: “PerhapsH194 he will be 15deceivedH6601, so that we may 16prevailH3201 against him And takeH3947 our revengeH5360 on him.”11But the 17LordH3068 is with me like a dreadH6184 championH1368; ThereforeH5921H3651 my 18persecutorsH7291 will stumbleH3782 and not prevailH3201. They will be utterlyH3966 ashamedH954, becauseH3588 they have 19failedH3808H7919, With an 20everlastingH5769 disgraceH3639 that will not be forgottenH7911.12Yet, O LordH3068 of hostsH6635, You who 21testH974 the righteousH6662, Who seeH7200 the 22mindH3629 and the heartH3820; Let me 23seeH7200 Your vengeanceH5360 on them; For 24to You I have setH1540 forthH1540 my causeH7379.1325SingH7891 to the LordH3068, praiseH1984 the LordH3068! For He has 26deliveredH5337 the soulH5315 of the needyH34 oneH34 From the handH3027 of evildoersH7489.
