Darby Bible
Acts 19:12-27
so that evenG2532 napkins or aprons were brought from his body [and put] upon the sickG770, and the diseasesG3554 left them, and the wickedG4190 spiritsG4151 wentG1607 out.
And certainG5100 of the JewishG2453 exorcists alsoG2532, who went about, took in hand to call upon those who had wickedG4190 spiritsG4151 the nameG3686 of the LordG2962 JesusG2424, sayingG3004, I adjureG3726 you by JesusG2424, whom PaulG3972 preachesG2784.
And there wereG1510 certainG5100 [menG3778], sevenG2033 sonsG5207 of Sceva, JewishG2453 highG749 priestG749, who wereG1510 doing this.
But the wickedG4190 spiritG4151 answeringG611 saidG3004 to them, JesusG2424 I knowG1097, and PaulG3972 I amG1510 acquainted with; but ye, who areG1510 ye?
And the manG444 in whom the wickedG4190 spiritG4151 wasG1510 leaped upon them, and having mastered both, prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that houseG3624 nakedG1131 and woundedG5135.
And this becameG1096 known to all, both JewsG2453 and GreeksG1672, who inhabited EphesusG2181, and fearG5401 fell upon all of them, and the nameG3686 of the LordG2962 JesusG2424 was magnifiedG3170.
And manyG4183 of those that believedG4100 cameG2064 confessingG1843 and declaringG312 their deedsG4234.
And manyG2425 of those that practised curious arts brought their booksG976 [of charms] and burnt them before all. And they reckoned up the prices of them, and foundG2147 it fifty thousand pieces of silverG694.
ThusG3779 with might the wordG3056 of the LordG2962 increasedG837 and prevailed.
And whenG5613 these thingsG3778 were fulfilled, PaulG3972 purposed in his spiritG4151 to goG4198 to JerusalemG2414, passingG1330 through MacedoniaG3109 and AchaiaG882, sayingG3004, After I have been there I must seeG3708 RomeG4516 alsoG2532.
And having sentG649 into MacedoniaG3109 twoG1417 of those ministeringG1247 to him, Timotheus and ErastusG2037, he remained himself awhile in AsiaG773.
And there took placeG1096 at that timeG2540 no smallG3641 disturbanceG5017 about the wayG3598.
For a certainG5100 [man] by nameG3686 DemetriusG1216, a silver-beater, makingG4160 silverG693 templesG3485 of ArtemisG735, broughtG3930 no smallG3641 gain to the artisans;
whom having brought togetherG4867, and those who wrought in suchG5108 thingsG3778, he saidG3004, MenG435, ye knowG1987 that our well-living arises from this work,
and ye seeG2334 and hearG191 that this PaulG3972 has persuadedG3982 and turned away a great crowdG3793, not onlyG3440 of EphesusG2181, but almostG4975 of all AsiaG773, sayingG3004 that they areG1510 no 1godsG2316 which areG1510 made with handsG5495.
NowG1161 not onlyG3440 there is dangerG2793 for us that our business comeG2064 into discredit, but alsoG2532 that the temple of the greatG3173 2goddess ArtemisG735 be counted for nothing, and that her greatness should be destroyed whom the wholeG3650 of AsiaG773 and the worldG3625 reveres.
