Mark 14:1-42

1NowG1161 after twoG1417 daysG2250 wasG1510the feast ofthe passoverG3957 and the unleavenedG106 bread: and the chiefG749 priestsG749 and the scribesG1122 soughtG2212 howG4459 they might takeG2902 him with subtlety, and killG615 him: 2for they saidG3004, Not during the feastG1859, lestG3361 haply there shall beG1510 a tumult of the peopleG2992.

3And while he wasG1510 in BethanyG963 in the houseG3614 of SimonG4613 the leperG3015, as he sat at meat, there cameG2064 a womanG1135 having an alabasterG211 cruse of ointment of pureG4101 nardG3487 very costly; and she brake the cruse, and pouredG2708 it over his headG2776. 4But there wereG1510 some that had indignation among themselves, saying, To what purpose hath this wasteG684 of the ointment beenG1510 made? 5For this ointment might have been sold for above threeG5145 hundredG5145 shillings, and givenG1325 to the poorG4434. And they murmured against her. 6But JesusG2424 saidG3004, Let her aloneG863; whyG5101 trouble ye her? she hath wrought a goodG2570 workG2041 on me. 7For ye have the poorG4434 alwaysG3842 with you, and whensoever ye willG2309 ye can do them good: but me ye have not alwaysG3842. 8She hath done what she could; she hath anointed my bodyG4983 beforehand for the burying. 9And verily I sayG3004 unto you, Wheresoever the gospelG2098 shall be preachedG2784 throughout the wholeG3650 worldG2889, that alsoG2532 which this woman hath done shall be spokenG2980 of for a memorialG3422 of her.

10And JudasG2455 IscariotG2469, he that was oneG1520 of the twelveG1427, wentG565 awayG565 unto the chiefG749 priestsG749, that he might deliverG3860 him unto them. 11And they, when they heardG191 it, were gladG5463, and promisedG1861 to giveG1325 him moneyG694. And he soughtG2212 howG4459 he might conveniently deliverG3860 him unto them.

12And on the firstG4413 dayG2250 of unleavenedG106 bread, whenG3753 they sacrificedG2380 the passoverG3957, his disciplesG3101 sayG3004 unto him, WhereG4226 wilt thou that we goG565 and makeG2090 readyG2090 that thou mayest eatG2068 the passoverG3957? 13And he sendeth twoG1417 of his disciplesG3101, and saith unto them, GoG5217 into the cityG4172, and there shall meet you a manG444 bearingG941 a pitcherG2765 of waterG5204: followG190 him; 14and wheresoever he shall enterG1525 in, sayG3004 to the master of the houseG3617, The TeacherG1320 saith, WhereG3699 isG1510 my guest-chamber, whereG3699 I shall eatG2068 the passoverG3957 with my disciplesG3101? 15And he will himself showG1166 you a largeG3173 upper room furnishedG4766 and readyG2092: and there makeG2090 readyG2092 for us. 16And the disciplesG3101 wentG1831 forthG1831, and cameG2064 into the cityG4172, and foundG2147 as he had saidG3004 unto them: and they madeG2090 readyG2090 the passoverG3957.

17And when it was eveningG3798 he cometh with the twelveG1427. 18And as they sat and were eatingG2068, JesusG2424 saidG3004, Verily I sayG3004 unto you, OneG1520 of you shall betrayG3860 me, evenG2532 he that eateth with me. 19They beganG757 to be sorrowfulG3076, and to sayG3004 unto him oneG1520 by oneG1520, Is it I? 20And he saidG3004 unto them, It is oneG1520 of the twelveG1427, he that dippeth with me in the dish. 21For the SonG5207 of manG444 goeth, even as it is writtenG1125 of him: but woeG3759 unto that manG444 through whom the SonG5207 of manG444 is betrayedG3860! goodG2570 were it for that manG444 if he had not been bornG1080.

22And as they wereG1510 eatingG2068, he tookG2983 breadG740, and when he had blessedG2127, he brake it, and gaveG1325 to them, and saidG3004, TakeG2983 ye: this isG1510 my bodyG4983. 23And he tookG2983 a cupG4221, and when he had givenG1325 thanksG2168, he gaveG1325 to them: and they all drankG4095 of it. 24And he saidG3004 unto them, This isG1510 my bloodG129 of the covenantG1242, which isG1510 poured out for manyG4183. 25Verily I sayG3004 unto you, I shall no more drinkG4095 of the fruit of the vineG288, until that dayG2250 whenG3752 I drinkG4095 it newG2537 in the kingdomG932 of GodG2316.

26And when they had sung a hymnG5214, they wentG1831 out unto the mountG3735 of Olives.

27And JesusG2424 saith unto them, All ye shall be offendedG4624: for it is writtenG1125, I will smite the shepherdG4166, and the sheepG4263 shall be scatteredG1287 abroad. 28Howbeit, after I am raisedG1453 up, I will goG4254 before you into GalileeG1056. 29But PeterG4074 saidG5346 unto him, Although all shall be offendedG4624, yet will not I. 30And JesusG2424 saith unto him, Verily I sayG3004 unto thee, that thou to-day, evenG2532 this nightG3571, before the cock crowG5455 twiceG1364, shalt denyG533 me thrice. 31But he spake exceeding vehemently, If I must dieG4880 with thee, I will not denyG533 thee. And in like manner alsoG2532 saidG3004 they all.

32And they comeG2064 unto a placeG5564 which was namedG3686 GethsemaneG1068: and he saith unto his disciplesG3101, SitG2523 ye hereG5602, while I prayG4336. 33And he taketh with him PeterG4074 and JamesG2385 and JohnG2491, and beganG757 to be greatly amazed, and sore troubled. 34And he saith unto them, My soulG5590 isG1510 exceeding sorrowful evenG2532 unto deathG2288: abideG3306 ye hereG5602, and watchG1127. 35And he wentG4281 forward a littleG3398, and fellG4098 on the groundG1093, and prayedG4336 that, if it wereG1510 possibleG1415, the hourG5610 might passG3928 awayG3928 from him. 36And he saidG3004, AbbaG5, FatherG3962, all thingsG3778 are possibleG1415 unto thee; remove this cupG4221 from me: howbeit not what I will, but what thou wilt. 37And he cometh, and findeth them sleepingG2518, and saith unto PeterG4074, SimonG4613, sleepest thou? couldest thou not watchG1127 oneG1520 hourG5610? 38WatchG1127 and prayG4336, that ye enter not into temptationG3986: the spiritG4151 indeed is willingG4289, but the fleshG4561 is weakG772. 39And againG3825 he wentG565 awayG565, and prayedG4336, sayingG3004 the sameG846 wordsG3056. 40And againG3825 he cameG2064, and foundG2147 them sleepingG2518, for their eyesG3788 wereG1510 very heavy; and they knew not what to answerG611 him. 41And he cometh the thirdG5154 timeG5610, and saith unto them, SleepG2518 on now, and take your restG373: it is enough; the hourG5610 is comeG2064; beholdG2400, the SonG5207 of manG444 is betrayedG3860 into the handsG5495 of sinnersG268. 42AriseG1453, let us be goingG71: beholdG2400, he that betrayeth me is at hand.
