Luke 22:7-38

7ThenδὲdeG1161cameἮλθενĒlthenG2064the firstdayἡμέραhēmeraG2250of UnleavenedἀζύμωνazumōnG106Bread on whichᾗhēG3739the Passoverπάσχα.paschaG3957lambhadἔδειedeiG1163to be sacrificedθύεσθαιthuesthaiG2380.

8And Jesus sentἀπέστειλενapesteilenG649PeterΠέτρονPetronG4074and JohnἸωάννηνIōannēnG2491,sayingG3004,“GoπορευθέντεςporeuthentesG4198and prepareἑτοιμάσατεhetoimasateG2090the PassoverπάσχαpaschaG3957for us, soἵναinaG2443that we may eatG2068it.”

9They saidG3004to Him, “WhereποῦpouG4226do You wantθέλειςtheleisG2309us to prepareἑτοιμάσωμεν;hetoimasōmenG2090it?”

10And He saidG3004to them,“WhenἰδοὺidouG2400you have enteredεἰσελθόντωνeiselthontōnG1525the cityπόλινpolinG4172,a manἄνθρωποςanthrōposG444will meetσυναντήσειsunantēseiG4876you carryingβαστάζων.bastazōnG941a pitcherκεράμιονkeramionG2765of waterὕδατοςhudatosG5204;followἀκολουθήσατεakolouthēsateG190him into the houseοἰκίανoikianG3614that he entersεἰσπορεύεται·eisporeuetaiG1531.

11And you shall sayλέγειlegeiG3004to the ownerοἰκοδεσπότῃoikodespotēG3617of the houseοἰκίας·oikiasG3614, ‘The Teacherδιδάσκαλος·didaskalosG1320saysG3004to you, “WhereποῦpouG4226is the guestκατάλυμαkatalumaG2646roomG2646in whichὅπουhopouG3699I may eatG2068the PassoverπάσχαpaschaG3957with My disciplesμαθητῶνmathētōnG3101?”’

12And he will showδείξειdeixeiG1166you a largeμέγαmegaG3173,furnishedἐστρωμένον·estrōmenonG4766upperG311roomG311;prepareἑτοιμάσατε.hetoimasateG2090it thereἐκεῖekeiG1563.”

13And they leftἀπελθόντεςapelthontesG565and foundεὗρονheuronG2147everythingjustκαθὼςkathōsG2531as He had toldG3004them; and they preparedἡτοίμασανhētoimasanG2090the Passoverπάσχα.paschaG3957.

14WhenὅτεhoteG3753the hourὥρα,hōraG5610had comeἐγένετοegenetoG1096,He reclinedἀνέπεσενanepesenG377at the table, andthe apostlesἀπόστολοιapostoloiG652with Him.

15And He saidG3004to them,“I have earnestlyἐπιθυμίᾳepithumiaG1939desiredἐπεθύμησαepethumēsaG1937to eatG2068thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778PassoverπάσχαpaschaG3957with you beforeπρὸproG4253I sufferπαθεῖν·patheinG3958;

16for I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you, I shall neverοὐ μὴou mēG3756 G3361againG3765eatG2068ituntilἕωςhe'ōsG2193it is fulfilledπληρωθῇplērōthēaG4137in the kingdomβασιλείᾳbasileiaG932of Godθεοῦ.theouG2316.”

17And when He had takenδεξάμενοςdexamenosG1209a cupποτήριονpotērionG4221andgivenG2168thanksεὐχαριστήσαςeucharistēsasG2168,He saidG3004,“TakeλάβετεlabeteG2983thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778and shareδιαμερίσατεdiamerisateG1266it amongεἰςeisG1519yourselvesἑαυτούς·he'autousG1438;

18forI sayλέγωlegōG3004to you, I will not drinkπίωpiōG4095of the fruitG1079of the vineἀμπέλουampelouG288from nowνῦνnunG3568on untilἕωςhe'ōsG2193the kingdomβασιλείαbasileiaG932of GodθεοῦtheouG2316comesἔλθῃ.¶elthēG2064.”

19And when He had takenλαβὼνlabōnG2983somebreadἄρτονartonG740andgivenG2168thanksεὐχαριστήσαςeucharistēsasG2168,He brokeἔκλασενeklasenG2806it and gaveἔδωκενedōkenG1325it to them, sayingλέγων·legōnG3004,“ThisτοῦτόtoutoG3778is My bodyσῶμάsōmaG4983which is givenδιδόμενον·didomenonG1325for you; doποιεῖτεpoieiteG4160thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778in remembranceἀνάμνησιν.anamnēsinG364of Me.”

20And in the sameG5615wayG5615He tookthe cupποτήριονpotērionG4221afterμετὰmetaG3326they had eatenδειπνῆσαιdeipnēsaiG1172,sayingλέγων·legōnG3004,“ThisτοῦτοtoutoG3778cupποτήριονpotērionG4221which ispouredἐκχυννόμενον.ekchunnomenonG1632out for you is thenewκαινὴkainēG2537covenantδιαθήκηdiathēkēG1242in My bloodαἵματίaimatiG129.

21But beholdἰδοὺidouG2400,the handχεὶρcheirG5495of the one betrayingπαραδιδόντοςparadidontosG3860Me is withMineG1700on the tableτραπέζης.trapezēsG5132.

22For indeedμὲνmenG3303,the SonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of ManἀνθρώπουanthrōpouG444is goingπορεύεται·poreuetaiG4198as it hasG2192been determinedὡρισμένονhōrismenonG3724;but woeοὐαὶouaiG3759to that manἀνθρώπῳanthrōpōG444by whomοὗhouG3739He is betrayedπαραδίδοται.paradidotaiG3860!”

23And they beganἤρξαντοērxantoG757to discussσυζητεῖνsuzēteinG4802amongπρὸςprosG4314themselvesἑαυτοὺςhe'autousG1438whichτίςtisG5101one of them it might be who was goingμέλλωνmellōnG3195to doπράσσειν.¶prasseinG4238thisG3778thingG3778.

24And there aroseἘγένετοEgenetoG1096alsoκαὶkaiG2532a disputeφιλονεικίαphiloneikiaG5379amongἐνenG1722them as towhichτίςtisG5101one of them was regardedδοκεῖdokeiG1380to be greatestμείζων.meizōnG3173.

25And He saidG3004to them,“The kingsβασιλεῖςbasileisG935of the GentilesἐθνῶνethnōnG1484lordG2961it overG2961them; and thoseG3588who haveG1850authorityἐξουσιάζοντεςexousiazontesG1850overG1850them are calledκαλοῦνται.kalountaiG2564‘BenefactorsεὐεργέταιeuergetaiG2110.’

26But it isnot thisG3779wayG3779with you,but the oneG3739who is the greatestμείζωνmeizōnG3173amongἐνenG1722you must becomeγινέσθωginesthōG1096likeὡςhōsG5613the youngestνεώτερος,neōterosG3501,and the leaderἡγούμενοςhēgoumenosG2233likeὡςhōsG5613the servantδιακονῶν.diakonōnG1247.

27ForwhoτίςtisG5101is greaterμείζων,meizōnG3173,the one who reclinesἀνακείμενοςanakeimenosG345at the tableorἢēG2228the one who servesδιακονῶν;diakonōnG1247?Is it not the one who reclinesἀνακείμενος;anakeimenosG345at the table? ButI amεἰμιeimiG1510amongἐν μέσῳen mesōG1722 G3319you as the one who servesδιακονῶν.diakonōnG1247.

28“You are thoseG3588who have stoodδιαμεμενηκότεςdiamemenēkotesG1265by Me in MytrialsπειρασμοῖςpeirasmoisG3986;

29and justκαθὼςkathōsG2531as My FatherπατήρpatērG3962hasG2192grantedδιατίθεμαιdiatithemaiG1303Me akingdomβασιλείαν,basileianG932,I grantδιέθετόdiethetoG1303you

30that you mayeatἔσθητεesthēteG2068and drinkπίνητεpinēteG4095at My tableτραπέζηςtrapezēsG5132in MykingdomβασιλείᾳbasileiaG932, andyou will sitκαθήσεσθεkathēsestheG2521on thronesθρόνωνthronōnG2362judgingκρίνοντεςkrinontesG2919the twelveδώδεκαdōdekaG1427tribesφυλὰςphulasG5443of IsraelἸσραήλ.¶IsraēlG2474.

31“SimonΣίμωνSimōnG4613,SimonΣίμων,SimōnG4613,beholdἰδοὺidouG2400,SatanσατανᾶςsatanasG4567hasG2192demandedἐξῃτήσατοexētēsatoG1809permission tosiftσινιάσαιsiniasaiG4617you likeὡςhōsG5613wheatσῖτον.sitonG4621;

32but Ihave prayedἐδεήθηνedeēthēnG1189for you, that your faithπίστιςpistisG4102may not failἐκλίπῃeklipēG1587;and you, whenποτεpoteG4218onceG4218you have turnedἐπιστρέψαςepistrepsasG1994againG1994,strengthenστήρισονstērisonG4741your brothersἀδελφούςadelphousG80.”

33But he saidG3004to Him, “Lordκύριε,kurieG2962,with You I amεἰμιeimiG1510readyἕτοιμόςhetoimosG2092to goπορεύεσθαι.poreuesthaiG4198bothG2532to prisonφυλακὴνphulakēnG5438and to deathθάνατονthanatonG2288!”

34And He saidG3004,“I sayG3004to you, PeterΠέτρε,PetreG4074,the roosterἀλέκτωρalektōrG220will not crowφωνήσειphōnēseiG5455todayσήμερονsēmeronG4594untilἕωςhe'ōsG2193you have deniedἀπαρνήσῃaparnēsēG533threeτρίςtrisG5151timesG5151that you knowG3609Me.”

35And He saidG3004to them, “WhenὅτεhoteG3753I sentἀπέστειλαapesteilaG649you out withoutἄτερaterG817moneyG905beltG905and bagπήραςpērasG4082and sandalsὑποδημάτων,hupodēmatōnG5266,you did not lackὑστερήσατε;husterēsateG5302anythingτινοςtinosG5100, did you?”They saidG3004, “No,nothingοὐθενός.outhenosG3762.”

36And He saidG3004to them,“But nowνῦνnunG3568,whoeverG3588hasἔχωνechōnG2192a moneyG905beltG905is to takeἀράτω,aratōG142it along, likewiseὁμοίωςhomoiōsG3668alsoG2532a bagπήραν·pēranG4082, andwhoeverG3588hasἔχωνechōnG2192noμὴmēG3361swordμάχαιραν.machairanG3162is to sellπωλησάτωpōlēsatōG4453hiscoatἱμάτιονhimationG2440and buyἀγορασάτωagorasatōG59one.

37For I tellλέγωlegōG3004you that thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778which is writtenγεγραμμένονgegrammenonG1125mustδεῖdeiG1163be fulfilledτελεσθῆναιtelesthēnaiG5055in Me, ‘And He was numberedἐλογίσθη.elogisthēG3049with transgressorsἀνόμωνanomōnG459’; forthat which refersπερὶperiG4012to Me hasἔχει.echeiG2192itsfulfillmentτέλοςtelosG5056.”

38They saidG3004, “Lordκύριε,kurieG2962,lookἰδοὺidouG2400,hereὧδεhōdeG5602are twoδύο.duoG1417swordsμάχαιραιmachairaiG3162.”And He saidG3004to them,“It is enoughἱκανόνhikanonG2425.”
