Jeremiah 52

1ZedekiahH6667 was oneH259 and twentyH6242 yearsH8141 old when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 eleven yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389: and his mother’sH517 nameH8034 was HamutalH2537 the daughterH1323 of JeremiahH3414 of LibnahH3841. 2And he did that which was evilH7451 in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that JehoiakimH3079 had done. 3For through the angerH639 of Jehovah did it come to pass in JerusalemH3389 and JudahH3063, until he had castH7993 them out from his presenceH6440.

And ZedekiahH6667 rebelledH4775 against the kingH4428 of BabylonH894. 4And it cameH935 to pass in the ninthH8671 yearH8141 of his reignH4427, in the tenthH6224 monthH2320, in the tenthH6224 day of the monthH2320, that Nebuchadrezzar kingH4428 of BabylonH894 cameH935, he and all his armyH2428, against JerusalemH3389, and encampedH2583 against it; and they builtH1129 forts against it roundH5439 about. 5So the cityH5892 was besieged unto the eleventh yearH8141 of kingH4428 ZedekiahH6667. 6In the fourthH7243 monthH2320, in the ninth day of the monthH2320, the famineH7458 wasH1961 sore in the cityH5892, so that there wasH1961 no breadH3899 for the peopleH5971 of the landH776. 7Then a breach was made in the cityH5892, and all the menH376 of warH4421 fledH1272, and wentH3318 forthH3318 out of the cityH5892 by nightH3915 by the wayH1870 of the gateH8179 between the twoH2346 wallsH2346, which was by the king’sH4428 gardenH1588 (now the ChaldeansH3778 were against the cityH5892 roundH5439 about); and they wentH3318 toward the ArabahH6160. 8But the armyH2428 of the ChaldeansH3778 pursuedH7291 after the kingH4428, and overtookH5381 ZedekiahH6667 in the plainsH6160 of JerichoH3405; and all his armyH2428 was scatteredH6327 from him. 9Then they took the kingH4428, and carried him up unto the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 to RiblahH7247 in the landH776 of HamathH2574; and he gave judgmentH4941 upon him. 10And the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 slew the sonsH1121 of ZedekiahH6667 before his eyesH5869: he slew alsoH1571 all the princesH8269 of JudahH3063 in RiblahH7247. 11And he putH5414 out the eyesH5869 of ZedekiahH6667; and the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 boundH631 him in fettersH5178, and carried him to BabylonH894, and putH5414 him in prison till the dayH3117 of his deathH4194.

12Now in the fifthH2549 monthH2320, in the tenth day of the monthH2320, which was the nineteenth yearH8141 of kingH4428 Nebuchadrezzar, kingH4428 of BabylonH894, cameH935 NebuzaradanH5018 the captain of the guard, who stoodH5975 before the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, into JerusalemH3389. 13And he burnedH8313 the houseH1004 of Jehovah, and the king’sH4428 houseH1004; and all the housesH1004 of JerusalemH3389, even every greatH1419 houseH1004, burnedH8313 he with fireH784. 14And all the armyH2428 of the ChaldeansH3778, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down all the wallsH2346 of JerusalemH3389 roundH5439 about. 15Then NebuzaradanH5018 the captain of the guard carried away captive of the poorest of the peopleH5971, and the residue of the peopleH5971 that were leftH7604 in the cityH5892, and those that fellH5307 away, that fellH5307 to the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and the residue of the multitude. 16But NebuzaradanH5018 the captain of the guard leftH7604 of the poorest of the landH776 to be vinedressersH3755 and husbandmen.

17And the pillarsH5982 of brass that were in the houseH1004 of Jehovah, and the bases and the brazen seaH3220 that were in the houseH1004 of Jehovah, did the ChaldeansH3778 breakH7665 in pieces, and carriedH5375 all the brass of them to BabylonH894. 18The potsH5518 also, and the shovelsH3257, and the snuffersH4212, and the basins, and the spoons, and all the vesselsH3627 of brass wherewith they ministered, tookH3947 they awayH3947. 19And the cups, and the firepansH4289, and the basins, and the potsH5518, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the bowlsH4219—that which was of goldH2091, in goldH2091, and that which was of silverH3701, in silverH3701,—the captain of the guard tookH3947 awayH3947. 20The twoH8147 pillarsH5982, the oneH259 seaH3220, and the twelve brazen bulls that were under the bases, which kingH4428 SolomonH8010 had madeH6213 for the houseH1004 of Jehovah—the brass of all these vesselsH3627 wasH1961 without weightH4948. 21And as for the pillarsH5982, the heightH6967 of the oneH259 pillarH5982 was eighteen cubitsH520; and a lineH2339 of twelve cubitsH520 did compass it; and the thicknessH5672 thereof was fourH702 fingersH676: it was hollowH5014. 22And a capitalH3805 of brass was upon it; and the heightH6967 of the oneH259 capitalH3805 was fiveH2568 cubitsH520, with networkH7639 and pomegranatesH7416 upon the capitalH3805 roundH5439 about, all of brass: and the secondH8145 pillarH5982 also had like unto these, and pomegranatesH7416. 23And there wereH1961 ninetyH8673 and sixH8337 pomegranatesH7416 on the sides; all the pomegranatesH7416 wereH1961 a hundredH3967 upon the networkH7639 roundH5439 about.

24And the captain of the guardH8104 tookH3947 SeraiahH8304 the chiefH7218 priestH3548, and ZephaniahH6846 the secondH4932 priestH3548, and the threeH7969 keepersH8104 of the threshold: 25and out of the cityH5892 he tookH3947 an officer that wasH1961 set over the menH376 of warH4421; and sevenH7651 menH376 of them that sawH7200 the king’sH4428 faceH6440, that were foundH4672 in the cityH5892; and the scribeH5608 of the captain of the hostH6635, who musteredH6633 the peopleH5971 of the landH776; and threescore menH376 of the peopleH5971 of the landH776, that were foundH4672 in the midstH8432 of the cityH5892. 26And NebuzaradanH5018 the captain of the guard tookH3947 them, and brought them to the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 to RiblahH7247. 27And the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 smote them, and putH4191 them to deathH4191 at RiblahH7247 in the landH776 of HamathH2574. So JudahH3063 was carried away captive out of his landH776.

28This is the peopleH5971 whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh yearH8141 threeH7969 thousandH505 JewsH3064 and threeH7969 and twentyH6242; 29in the eighteenth yearH8141 of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from JerusalemH3389 eightH8083 hundredH3967 thirtyH7970 and twoH8147 personsH5315; 30in the threeH7969 and twentieth yearH8141 of Nebuchadrezzar NebuzaradanH5018 the captain of the guard carried away captive of the JewsH3064 sevenH7651 hundredH3967 fortyH705 and fiveH2568 personsH5315: all the personsH5315 were fourH702 thousandH505 and sixH8337 hundredH3967.

31And it came to pass in the sevenH7651 and thirtieth yearH8141 of the captivity of JehoiachinH3078 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, in the twelfth monthH2320, in the fiveH2568 and twentieth day of the monthH2320, that Evil-merodachH192 kingH4428 of BabylonH894, in the first yearH8141 of his reignH4438, liftedH5375 up the headH7218 of JehoiachinH3078 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and broughtH3318 him forthH3318 out of prison; 32and he spake kindly to him, and setH5414 his throneH3678 above the throneH3678 of the kingsH4428 that were with him in BabylonH894, 33and changed his prison garmentsH899. And Jehoiachin did eatH398 breadH3899 before him continuallyH8548 all the daysH3117 of his life: 34and for his allowanceH737, there was a continual allowanceH737 givenH5414 him by the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, every dayH3117 a portion until the dayH3117 of his deathH4194, all the daysH3117 of his life.
