Jeremiah 49:1-5
Concerning the children of AmmonH5983. ThusH3541 saith Jehovah: Hath IsraelH3478 no sonsH1121? hath he no heir? WhyH4069 is Malcam heir of GadH1410, and his peopleH5971 dwellH3427 in the citiesH5892 thereof?
ThereforeH3651 behold, daysH3117 comeH935, saith Jehovah, that I will cause the clamour of warH4421 to beH1961 heardH8085 in RabbahH7237 of the children of AmmonH5983; and it shall beH1961 a desolate heap; and her towns shall beH1961 burnedH3341 with fireH784; and IsraelH3478 shall possessH3423 them that possessedH3423 him, saith Jehovah.
Howl, HeshbonH2809! for Ai is laid waste; cryH6817, daughtersH1323 of RabbahH7237, girdH2296 you with sackclothH8242, lamentH5594 and run to and fro within the enclosures: for Malcam shall go into captivity, his priestsH3548 and his princesH8269 togetherH3162.
Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleysH6010? Thy valleyH6010 shall flowH2100 down, O backsliding daughterH1323, that trusteth in her treasuresH214, [saying,] Who shall comeH935 against me?
Behold, I will bringH935 a fearH6343 upon thee, saith the LordH136 Jehovah of hostsH6635, from all that are about thee; and ye shall be drivenH5080 out every manH376 right forth; and none shall assembleH6908 the fugitivesH5074.
